He was an illustrator for 20 years and did stuff for maple leaf gardens and air canada center. I just dug this up from my basement. Pretty cool? Just thought I'd show you all
More to come. I'll be posting it in history section too they might appreciate it more.

Your dad is pretty good. What size is that? Looks like 18x24.
I used to paints well (hobby) but that was when I used to have time to kill. I tried to get ambitious once and tried painting Pac vs Cotto on a 36x48 canvas in Acrylic, but then I just stopped and never felt like finishing it lol.
Your dad is very good, bro. I appreciate art. I usually prefer work that's a little less realistic, but his Lennox painting is quite nice.
Last summer I saw some paintings on the street by an artist in the SOHO section of New York City. He was a Mike Tyson fan and had a couple of really good oil paintings of him. He told me that a Knicks player had bought one. (I forgot both the artist and player's names.)
I'll be really interested to see that Hagler painting your dad will be working on next. Please keep posting pics of your father's work. And pass on the compliments.... :fing02:
I will, ill be updating this thread

Yes thats true its color is not as vibrant though acrylic always seems flat to me kinda dulled ,,,, I said Richard Greene before its Daniel Greene

yeah art takes years to perfect, thats why there are so many starving artists..but once you get good...you are in a very very small talent pool and can make $$. This guy is good 100%
I find acrylic the easiest imo, it dries fast so you can overlap quickly.

Ah ok he is pretty good , I like to paint , I find it hard to finish a piece I seem to get bored with it and start another , gots lots of unfinished stuff lol , good thing with oil is you can pick it up years down the road and still work on it . my favorite portrait artist is Richard Greene .

I could only see the 2nd image which was small but looks good. My girlfriends uncle has been doing me black n white paintings each Christmas for the last 4 years. I intended on it being bands/artists only but wanted a change and so asked him to do me a boxer last year. Got a sweet painting of Tyson. I'll have to take a pic of it and post it tomorrow to see what you think.
you can click it to make it bigger
hes going to be doing some new ones cause hes bored so I'll post them in due time. Hagler picture is coming soon. He's so good.

I think it could also be showcasing Len's tremendous amount of pride. Look at the way the frog stands tall amidst the seemingly crushing weight of pressure that surrounds him. Yet there he is, head held high, accepting his destiny.
It's goddamn beautiful, so it is.
My god  I laughed so much at this post!
I posted a new link
Yeah, just saw after I posted :lol1:
Great stuff man! I'd love to see the others when you get a chance :fing02:
