Mark my words, for paper champion Canelo, Mosley was the wrong pick. Mosley will upset and then his bandwagon will be filled with all the critics that are counting him out.
Mosley is not in his prime, but Mosley knows how to beat Canelo's style and is still faster and stronger than the kid.
its a lose lose fight for both of them reputation wise because Alvarez was too green or Mosley was completely shot according to NSB, but hopefully it gets the winner of this fight a match with either another title holder or the winner of May Cotton, but that's wish full thinking.
Interesting you say Rob Guerro picks Mosley because Guerro is noted as always getting his predictions right even down to the scorecards. If he has faith in Shane then it has just restored mine.
Nonetheless, if he does beat Canelo, give him his respect. We all know styles make fights, but we have a 40 year old who is going up against a 21 year old.
No one is giving Shane a chance, as 19 out of 20 "experts" have picked the young Mexican to beat Shane (surveyed by Lem Satterfield) , with many saying he'll do it by stoppage. Robert Guererro is the only "expert" to pick Shane lol.
Not everyone is Bernard Hopkins; Shane beating this kid is worth much respect. I think he'll do it.
Agreed
I hope Mosley wins, and I think he actually can, but if he does I wouldn't get to jacked up about it. Nothing against Canelo really, but he was getting outboxed by Gomez before hurting him and the ref stopped the fight a little prematurely. Canelo is a solid kid, and a pretty solid fighter, but beating him will not mean Shane is ready for a rematch with with Floyd or Paq. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Cotto again, or maybe Kirkland just for entertainment value.
