Part of a K1 article about Hari:
Badr Hari is currently training in the USA with the world-famous maker of champions, Naazim Richardson. Hari’s goal is to become a World Boxing Champion within three years.
Hari stated he’s excited about training with Richardson: “I have just finished the first six weeks of intensive training, including a high altitude training camp in California. I am in great shape and we have made a plan for the next three years, leading to the ultimate goal... becoming the world heavyweight champion in boxing. The past weeks we’ve been working mostly on my technique as a boxer.”
Richardson added he believes in Hari’s incredible potential: “Every century, a number of unique talents are born. Those talents have the capacity to make it to the absolute top of the world. Badr is one of those unique talents. He has the perfect fighting mentality, an amazing reach, an incredible punch, and technically it’s looking great. On top of that, his physique works to his advantage. He is the ultimate fighting machine."
Should be interesting to see what NR can do with him. Considering he's 6'6 250 and has KO power in both hands he could bring some excitement to the heavies if he can sort out his defense. The rest of the article discusses his return to K1 for one final GP.

do you know if he put the boxing on hold now? he's still pretty young and as long as he trains hard he could win some fights, show real promise, and then who knows what happens.... obviously he is very marketable - not to mention the fans he already has and who will follow him into boxing

He's still training with Naazim but I assume he's not going to box until after the GP.
His chin isn't great but it's not as bad as you make it sound. He's fighting hw's and because he's so reckless in attack he gets caught flush sometimes (hopefully Naazim fixes his defence). He hasn't been knocked out cold much though.

He is a beast coming forward and has a great fighters mentality.
His chin is very very poor though, he has been ko'd numerous times and cannot take a punch well. Doesnt bode well for a career in the HW division where punchers like Wlad, seth mitchell and David Price lurk

I've read that he's returned to kickboxing and is heading a card this month in Spain. Anyone know about this/more information on this?
He returned to kickboxing for another year to compete in the new K1. The Spain card is May 27 against Anderson "Braddock" Silva (not the mma guy).

yea but thats why he could be exciting. guys who have a lot of fire power but lack a good chin is definitely marketable, and the heavyweights need all the help they can get. I wanna see this guy fight some top heavyweights and see what hes made of
this dude looks like a straight animal in the K1 Ring. Hope he can be just as deadly in the boxing ring, we could sure use a guy like this...
