Dibella complains about people saying
Martinez should fight at 168 and says Sergio is too small for Ward and them.... Then he says Sergio would have to kill himself to make 147, and struggle to make 150, yet he says Sergio has to eat so much to make 160 and walks around at 157-158. Martinez says he walks around at 170+ then he
Changes his story and says he walks around at 165-166..... He WEIGHED IN AT 176 for the 30 day weigh in against Paul Williams. Their stories are always changing. I mean look at bradley he walks around at 160-165 and still can make 140 nicely .... So if Martinez did walk around at 160-166 he shouldn't have a prob making 147.
Mushybrain, dude thats some man crush you have there! Here you go again making claims against Martinez that are actually true about your boyfriend (Chavez Jr.). To correct you, Bob Arum is widely accepted as the biggest crook in boxing. You know him, he's the guy thats been protecting your love interest for the last 3 years.
Some of your other lowlights- claiming Martinez uses banned substances with zero proof while your sweetheart has been convicted. Another- claiming Martinez only fights bums, while any one of his last five opponents are all head and shoulders above anyone Jr has ever fought.
I really respected Chavez Sr, he was tough, talented, and willing to fight anyone. Jr has none of these qualities. I bet Sr wonders sometime if Jr is really his seed or not. Perhaps a paternity test is needed
Mushy, I've asked these two questions before, will you please answer
Question 1: when Jr loses to Martinez (if he gets by Lee), will you disappear or face the music on this forum?
Question 2: are you related to Jr?
I don't want martinez to come down to 147,.... I just don't want them to keep on switching stories!! I get he will b weak at 147 and not effective at 168 against the big guys. I don't mind him wanting to fight PAC at 150 but he shouldnt criticise him if he don't wana make the fight coz pac also struggles to gain weight and can't touch no where near 150. Floyd at 155 will b great but nobody should criticise Floyd if he don't take that fight , coz he is small for 155 just like Martinez is for 168, it's just that Floyd got exceptional skill that people think he should b able to fight at any weight.
Well, the key difference is that Manny and especially Floyd have fought for titles at 154. Martinez hasn't gone up to 168. To his credit though, he did finally come out and say he only challenged Pac on principle, but that he does really believe Pac is too small for him and it would be unfair.

Martinez says that his body can naturally lose weight easily. Which means he can probably comfortably make 154. But 150, while tough is worth it if he lands Pac or Floyd. 168 is not.
Remember, Martinez himself at one point said he'd be willing to pursue the right option with the right terms at 165 against a 168 pounder... Dibella is the one who then came out and said "Don't listen to anything he tells you, I'm not letting him fight at 168"..Martinez, being a cool dude pretty much agrees with his promoter since he IS trying to secure a Floyd fight anyway.
It's been some time since the P.Will fight and that was when he was gaining weight. He looks different now. Boxers at around these weight classes can put on a lot of weight, and lose a lot. It's at around 154-160 ish when you start noticing big size differences between weight classes. The 140 guys don't seem a lot smaller than the top 147 guys. With the exception of Chavez Jr (and Pavlik, but he's at 168 now so), everybody at the top at 168 seem much bigger than the guys at 160. The top guys at 168 are fighting below what they COULD fight at and everybody expects them to move up. Martinez is allegedly fighting above or right at the edge of what is considered comfortable. Martinez, while very skilled, strong and with good conditioning might not find the success, just as AA found.
To put it bluntly, I don't think he's strong or fast enough to compete at 168. The guys there are tanks.
Keep in mind I do have some bias towards Martinez, so take that for what you will, at least I'm being honest. <__<... I do like Andre Ward though, and maybe because I like him, I think he might be too big too strong, too good for Martinez at 168 and that fight is really the only one that would matter..not financially of course, but in terms of "recognition"
people are talking crap...now because all we do is catchweights you want fighters to go all over the place..why would you want martinez to go to 147,so can pacquiao fight another drained fighter?...if anything mayweather can go to 160 and that will make sense..but people here all they say is stupid and dumb, like for example who hits harder than who?,how in the world would i know,i never been hit by neither, and you cannot go with records alone..i mean c'mon...anyways can you please tell me why would you want martinez to go to 147?..we all know bradley is much smaller than martinez, and donnot mentioned pacquaio...well???

It's his age... he goes up to 168 and will get beaten up by less skilled, but naturally bigger men.
At the same time, he can't drain that much compared to someone younger like Bradley.
