Is Pacquaio becoming more and more irrelevant? Anyone else notice this?
I remember after his Win over Cotto the whole world was buzzing and it was Pacquaio this, Pacquaio. However his last 2 fights were ehh and one in which 80% of the ppl think HE LOST. I just feel like he is getting more and more irrelevant to boxing. Let's see how he does to Bradley, I think eventually he will have to take a beating from Maywaether for a pay day and then retire.
I believe the point of this thread is to highlight that people no longer believe Pac can beat Mayweather which is the idea that made him relevant (that he could beat Floyd).
People no longer believe the hype. Even Pacs biggest fans are saying Pac is not prime which is there justification of why he won't beat floyd.
He's becoming more and more irrelevant as each fight passes that does not involve Mayweather, the name that blew up pacs name as being the man that could finally beat Mayweather.
Well I was Impressed with Pac before he tied himself to Mayweather by facing common opponents. His sheer energy and dynamic strength was something to behold. So is not necessarily being number one in a sport now considered grounds for being irrelevant? Irrelevant to me means you don't check for them and I definitely still check Pac fights.
I really don't take these butthurt threads coming from the usual jealous Floyd apologists seriously.
First of all, Pacquaio hasn't been in explosive fights because there's just none out there who would fight him like they want to beat him with the exception of Margarito. It's even funny to me that a guy they call overrated and amateurish is always expected to dominate in a superman-like fashion. Anything less is unacceptable. And here's this famous counterpuncher who they call one of the best is just expected to do survive.
:usa2:
That is funny though. However I think his intent was that Pac is not as relevant as it was when people actually thought he could beat floyd.
Dont twist will ya? You like talking about Pac so he is relevant to whatever reason it is you are talking about him. Alis not capable now, but he is relevant cos u like what he did in the past. You dont talk about Ali about not being relevant just cos he can hardly move now and isnt a contender to todays heavyweights.
Pac is past it slightly but that is good enough to beat Floyd and people do think Pac can beat Floyd. How do you know Floyd can beat Pac when hes taking these layoffs we dont know how good Floyd is and can only guess. So people are writing Pac off agaist Floyd cos he hasa bad performance........even though thats likely if you fight often something Floyd dont do. So irrelavant is a bad choice of words to get a message across.
So how can you put a reason for having irrelevant in the same sentence as Pac but not Ali? Its discrimination at its most blatant but the TS probably wasnt smart enough to realise. Sorry i wont say people arent smart enough, rather thinking with heart, rather than head.
you making a thread about him says he isnt irrelevant

Not irrelevamt no. Fading? Yes I think so. Pac's overall style does not lend itself to longevity. We've seen this again and again in boxing history. Time catches a Pac type of fighter before a Floyd.

here is what's funny. Pac has plenty endorsements and floyd makes exponentially more than pac. Thays funny. Floyd is more, popular than pac even without various endorsements.
:pat::pat:.......Jesus Christ.
Dude just did that whole Hennessy thing that's being put on T.V and add spaces in NY big screens.
His hype died down, but by no means is he irrelevant.
I've seen this commercial everywhere lately. When was the last time Mayweather was in any commercial! Who would you rather have sponsoring you Nike or Reebok. Exactly !
If you believe that Pacman is becoming more and more irrelevant,
then why you're posting thread about him?
Don't waste your time talking about about him, if he is irrelevant.
Do haters know any other thing to do? just hating and posting? BORING!
ha ha, i agree. The irony of it all is that the fact that Pac haters take the time to make threads on Pac, even hating threads show just how relevant Pac is and how they cant stop thinking about him.
It's not hard to understand that the only thing that was keeping Pac relevant was the thought of him beating Floyd. The day Pac walked away from him to fight Clottey, Margarito, Mosley and so on.... he has become irreverent...
This about sums it up.....
They are only a month apart so i dont see how that matters, not like Pac is fighting in Nov. I hear more talk about khan v peterson than i do Pac fight. Oh but let me guess its because its closer than Pac fight. Thats just dumb. if people are excited about your fight than they are excited about your fight no matter how far out.
I disagree, using another example of a major sporting event its like the World Cup in football/soccer for example. There is also the Euro Cup. Everyone is always super excited about the World Cup its definitely the biggest sporting event in the world. But people get real excited about the Euro Cup too. However, the Euro Cup is sooner and so you'll hear more hype about the Euros than the World Cup.
The closer the event is from happening the more excited people get, its only natural. If its further in the future you tend to put it into the back of your mind but when something is coming closer you definitely think about it more.
The only reason is because his fight is ways away and Floyds is just around the corner. I love people who can't think outside the box or inside it for that matter. Common sense tells you when something is more relevant there is a reason for it. It becomes a time frame in which Floyd is more relevant than Pac because of fight time. I bet this thread will be IRRELEVANT when PACs fight becomes closer.
Thanks for being stupid! ;)They are only a month apart so i dont see how that matters, not like Pac is fighting in Nov. I hear more talk about khan v peterson than i do Pac fight. good point...
i also don't really subscribe to applying the word relevant or irrelevant to a boxer...
their glory times come and go and fans should be able to enjoy the fighters contributions to the sport and appreciate them for that...
like i could say that even now ali is the "most relevant" fighter?!
