Just re-watched the fight...
I'm trying to see how the judges scored the fight to favor Pac as the winner but I can't.
This isn't a race thing. Just don't know how this fight wasn't a W for JMM.
I want to know what Boxingscene thinks of this fight. I want to know who Boxingscene thinks really won this fight. I know there's a lot of Filipinos on this site as well as Mexicans. I just want honest opinions with mature discussions.
Please, no racism.
Why you Floydiots SOB keep saying it was a robbery. It was a close fight that can go either way. Watch Floyd vs Castillo 1 and that is what you called a robbery.
I agree, Castillo was robbed I had him winning by 2 or 3 rounds against a one armed Mayweather. Marquez however won his fight by at least 8 rounds to 4 against the much improved, now a 2 handed fighter :lol1:
Whatever happened to that Manila Ice? lol
Oh right, he always goes in the corner to pray that's why he reacted that way? :lol1: :lol1: Ok.
Oh great, a list of people who thought Pacquaio won.
Shall I post the long list of Boxer's and Ex-Boxers who thought it was a robbery or?

Has anybody actually googled any of these guys?
I just did about half of them, since i didnt recognize them. The guys that work for news websites seem to be casual fans that work more on the mainstream sports such as football and basketball.
I cross referenced these guys with boxing to check to see how much boxing material associated with them popped out.
Take for example joel huerto, he is predominantly a basketball writer,
Will Carroll from SI is an sports medicine guy,
Allen Barra focuses more on baseball and actual journalism,
Nate Ravitz from espn handles fantasy sports, lol that his job he looks over the fantasy football, basketball etc (Fun).
Steve Marzolf the hbo guy, is an editor for various things on hbo, not just boxing and doesnt really have any credentials.
I couldnt find anything on Nick Nors, and Sean Faye was mispelled and he was a basic mystery.
Some of the bleacher guys background is completely amateur and shouldn't be taken into account given the fact that it seems that anybody can write on that website. Take for example, Adam Hirshfield has an advanced degree in religous studies lol and is a cursory reporter.
James Foley seems to just be a random fan.
Brian mazique, a diehard chicago fan, another random casual fan without any real boxing credentials.
Mike Chiari is a recent graduate of Buffalo State college, who worked for his school paper and again just seems to follow the big name fights.
Then you have Patrick Stumberg and Michael David Smith who have MMA credentials, which i guess can apply to boxing.
And after looking up some of the boxing related websites, i couldnt find any information on Chris Koegler. (who's this guy?)
some of these guys are hardcore boxing fans like Ken Hissner and Rob Rutz that just have their own websites, which totally validates their opinion. lol im sure one can go on youtube and find tons of video-recaps saying jmm won.
I mean it takes away from your evidence when you fluff it with casual fans from known sources like Sports Illustrated and amateurs from the Bleacher report. I mean having undisputed basketball or baseball credentials doesnt give anybody enough authority to be a pundit.
And sure there were some actual credible sources who know boxing Michael Woods, Graham Houston, and Jake donavon, but come on now.
PS including Skip Bayless on there really makes your list tenous.
I scored it a draw after 2nd and 3rd viewing. Pacquiao though clearly didn't "win" the fight, but neither did JMM down the stretch. I think it became a situation where people watched Marquez handle Pacquiao much better than anyone had since Pacquiao moved up to Welterweight. But in hindsight, JMM in the end didn't seal the deal IMO.
agree....
pac may not have clearly won the fight...
but jmm clearly did not win it for himself....
there is another truth for pac as there is another truth for jmm..
there is another truth for the fans as there is another truth for the judges
11-8 is not possible. that is how you spot a troll guys.
In Pacland 11-8 for Pacquiao is possible... someone say that pacquiao is the greatest fighter that has ever walked the universe, so it's more truthful to say that 11-8 is possible
omg i thought you were a TRUE pacquiao supporter.
we all know he won 120-108 and thats being generous to the loser marquez.
the way pacquiao pretended to take those shots and stumble was unreal. way better than when gayflower duckweather pretends to avoid punches.
some rounds pacquiao pretended so good, they should have been 10-8. and lets not forget all the marquez foot stomps. this is a normal thing when a lefty fights a righty. but pacquiao is the best boxer that has ever existed. and if you do it against him a point must be deducted or you should be DQ.
the score should really have been 120-106. marquez had no chance. dont you agree?
I saw a much bigger domination by Pacquiao. I scored every rounds 10-8 for Pacman for evident superiority, except one that I had 11-8. So my final score card was 121-96 for Pacquiao.
Honestly, most people who are crying robbery expected Marquez to lose badly and when he made the fight competitive gave him credit for everything!! i gave it to Marquez personally by 2 rounds but this was far from a robbery
Great originality
Make another thread for who truly won Mayweather-Castillo 1
Ha ha u read my mind and beat me to it. Why do people keep picking and bullying Pac? I have watched Castillo and Floyd 10 times and i cant see how Floyd beat Castillo, yet ive yet to make a thread about it.
Some people should just get over it.
well, do not be reported for racism.
in phillipines it is very common to work with the shovels.
do not be mad that pacquiao won by 120-108. and that is a generous score.
why?
well there were some rounds that it seemed that marquez was hitting pac, but it was just manny being smart and pretending to get hit, and moving his chin QUICK in the direction of the punch. he even pretended to stumble a few times to perfection. just so people could think it was a competitive fight. cmon guys i thought you were smart boxing fans.
for these special skills its generous to give 120-108 for pacman. some rounds should have been 10-8 for pac because he pretended to get punched SO well, just to make it look competitive.
if he wanted he would have got TKO1... he just made the fight controversial so people can keep talking about pacquiao.
im very proud to be a pacfan.i forgot about the ones who thought manny pretended to look bad to trick floyd...they were great too
omg....i had never seen that list of 'credible' sources who scored it for pac.
first the foot stomp trick videos...
then the watch it in super slow mo reverse angle 4d pinoyvision and it is clear pac won...
now someone (or multiple) people took the time to compile that list as a 'counter' to that twitter list...

just when you think the pacquiao fanatics have set the bar the lowest it can possibly go, they show up with shovels.
So he'll be more aggressive than JMM? Which kinda plays into Manny's style?
Triangle theories don't work, as I was told once...
Not sure where I said aggressive you put those words into my mouth.
IMO Marquez won the fight, there were some close rounds that could had gone either way that could had swayed the decision to Pac's side.
A draw would had been more suitable
Great fight JMM beat pacquiao easy 8-4 but could be closer i gave rounds to marquez cause hes punches were most efective he made Pacquiao look horrible and paving the way for future fighters on how to fight Pacquiao still Pacquiao is good but marquez just has his nunber. Looking foward if mayweather and pacquiao fight i dont think it will go more than 10 rounds floyd will school pacquiao. :boxing:
I dont know about others here - but when you get 2 of the best and most experienced judges in the business , you're going to end up with the right result.
In all fairness to robert hoyle, he isn't as experienced and was likely affected by the crowd, so i dont blame him - and even he couldn't find a way to give marquez more than 6 rounds.
I'd expect that once everyone's had the chance to properly watch the fight, the only way you end up with a marquez win is
a) you have an agenda
or
b) you really don't know how to score
and those really are the only 2 possibilities.
so anybody who dissagree with you is wrong no matter WHAT GET THE FU*K OUT HERE AND GO SUCK PAC NUTS
who said about the amateurs ?
RusianCrushin said that in the amateurs they tell them to keep their hair short because when they get hit it looks worst and Pacfan quickly agreed with the statement.
The head gear doesn't allow that to happen in the fashion of Pac's hair flying all over the place when he got hit anywhere on his body including blocking the punches
