i know its best to ignore it, but i cant help but get irritated and mad at it. People saying its fixed just because during the faceoff they were too "nice". smh. nothing irritates me more than people who dont know sh1t about boxing
I would give them props for seeing this fight for what it truly is.
After the face off you could tell that this fight is 100% fixed. No real boxer would compliment another boxers watch right before a fight. No one.
C'mon now you're reaching...Cotto is a likable guy inside and outside of the ring...Floyd doesn't usually step out of the box to slander a boxer of high regard...Mayweather gave the same respect to JMM before their fight. Floyd hypes up a fight when he wants to, and shows disrespect to those that he feels that couldn't come close to his ability like Hatton or Gatti or hypes a fight well to take the bad guy role like against Oscar.
Floyd and Cotto have shown respect towards each other for a couple of years and I was not surprised that Cotto was able to get a fight with Floyd the instant he left Top Rank. There were talks of a fight happening between them since 2010.
I have not heard about this fight being a fix...especially with the way that Cotto prepares for a fight. I think that would be an insult to him and his rep if this was mentioned around his circles.
well with the magnitude of the Mayweather / Pac fight i wounldnt be surprized if May / Cotto is worth a hundred million or so , Pac / May is probably triple that....
Not at all. JMM was supposed to get knocked out by Pacquaio within 6 rounds because he was soooooo ineffective at 147 against Mayweather. And because he was so ineffective against Mayweather at the higher weight, the superior boxer/puncher, 8-division, fighter of the decade was surely going to knock him out since he is so much better than Mayweather. After Marquez foiled their plans, Pac's camp came up with the cramps excuse.
well to be fair in all other cases pac did way better against common opponents. marquez was the exception to the rule.
Cotto is at the stage of his career where he's all about his money. If Floyd were to give Cotto a duffle bag with a million dollars cash, you think Cotto would reject it? If Cotto loses this fight so what? Floyd losen this fight means everything. Im not sayin the fight is fix but just throwing that out there for the other side.
naw cotto already has money. winning would put him in the history books. he wouldnt throw it.
lol never heard that sh*t... All i remember is people saying Floyd would never fight Hoya, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto... hell if you go back some said he was ducking Baldo by fighting Judah. Some of these f*cking idiots where saying Floyd would duck Ortiz...
lol Like I have said for YEARS, its the same sh*t different rest room... When Pac is allowed to fight Floyd and then retires with his 4th loss, this site will go back to constructive arguments about boxing rather then pac-tards crying about Floyd ducking the fights or when he fights someone it's fixed..
doesn't matter if he beats pac. he can never change the fact that he retired in 2007 avoiding the best possible fights of his career with the guys at there best. he could of fought cotto undefeated margarito at his best mosley when he had something left spinks before he moved up williams when he was hot whoever. he is a great fighter but there's a lot of greats and no matter what you say a huge chunk of boxing fans will remember him as a safety first cherry picking ducker in the ring and a spoiled ignorant women beating child outside of it.
lol never heard that sh*t... All i remember is people saying Floyd would never fight Hoya, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto... hell if you go back some said he was ducking Baldo by fighting Judah.people were criticizing him for fighting the loser of a title fight and calling him a retard for saying judahs loss didn't count. funny u took it that way. Some of these f*cking idiots where saying Floyd would duck Ortiz...

..............
I cant possibly see this fight being fixed. Money isnt an issue for either fighter, both could have went in different directions and made huge amounts of money. A loss would be even more detrimental to cotto's career, i dont see anybody shelling out the insane amount of money to 'buy him'. He is a warrior at heart, and come fight night, is gonna bring it.
People be stupid

The Floyd fans are just as bad accusing Pac of ducking Floyd or Cotto at 154 or Martinez at 150. You are saying right now that Pac is not allowed to fight Floyd. It is really only a small number of fans of these two fighters that talk all this duck stuff, most of their fans don't do that.I don't think Floyd or Pac have ever ducked anybody. They have fought lots of good fighters their whole careers. Floyd is fighting the best Jr. middleweight and Pac is fighting the best Jr. welterweight so that is good. Floyd tried to tell Pac what day to fight and where to fight and how much he would pay Pac., not much. Pac is just as big a star as Floyd and Floyd should show some respect. If Floyd works out a mutually agreeable site and date with Pac and offers a 50 50 split of the money then Pac is ducking if he turns that down. Till then no one is ducking, just two superstars that can't come to terms.
Wasnt Pac-JMM suppose to be fixed and JMM was suppose to throw that fight?Naw Manny was supposed to ROID rite thru JMM, but according to Alex and Manny they didn't feel they had to fuel up (I mean apply "Plyometrics")
But rest assure they'll be using "Plyometrics" for Timmy..
Are you serious????? Do you guys see how Manny Pacquiao and Bradley act against eachother???? They looked like best friends, they look more friendly than Manny and Roach act against eachother.
I would give them props for seeing this fight for what it truly is.

See this is the bad thing about Pacquiao fans, at first us longtime boxing fans loved them, we seen them as a way to help make the sport that (we love) more popular, ppv buys, media and tv ratings.
However it has also became a curse, instead of cheering on boxing 2 BIGGEST stars, Pacquiao and Mayweather, they are trying to tear down 50% of it.
This is the kinda stuff that MMA fans love to hear.
Why would Mayweather fix a fight that is seen as being a easy victory?? Wasted money don't you think?
Wasnt Pac-JMM suppose to be fixed and JMM was suppose to throw that fight?

Its Mayweather so ofcourse its fixed. Just like the JMM, Mosley, and Ortiz fights were. He never gets credit. Dont tell me this big name Superstars are going to fix fights for Floyd. They can get big fights on there own and if they beat Floyd then they are even a bigger star. Chances are they will lose anyways so why do they need to fix it? Atleast tell me that Sergio or someone is fixing a fight for Floyd
It's unfortunate, but very rarely will the guy who "is not supposed to win" actually take a decision. The way our sport is now, if a fight goes to decision, I'm more surprised if a guy like actually gets the win than if he gets robbed. Regardless of how badly he earned it.Your absolutely right. At my house we call the guy who is suppose to win the designated winner. Williams vs. Lara fight is a good example as Williams was supposed to win so of course he did. That stuff goes on all the time. So I have to retract my statement in the last post that fixed fights are rare because that type of fixing goes on alot.
I still think paying off judges or fighters taking a dive in really big fights like Pac vs. Clottey or Floyd vs. Cotto is rare.

nahh. floyd da best will never fight the one-dimensional midget.
keep fooling yourself, though.

I don't know man....I really think something funny could go down in the ring when they fight. I may change my mind after the next 24-7 but they were acting odd.
