So he went from paying $100 million to $7 million a year in taxes...that's some creative bookkeeping.

Interesting... if i remember well pacquiao has been training in philippines and only cominga to the states in the last weeks before each fight coz if he stays here more than 6 months hes taxed as a resident of the US.. hes been earning more each fight than the one before, further, top rank now handles his endorsments and sponsor contracts abd they been very vocal on how many sponsor deals they have been getting for him... all this leads me to believe hes being making a lot of money the last year... he paying 100 millionin 2010 and payibg 7 million this year reeks of tax evasion or a very stupid accountant team...

What they are really saying is that they want the documentation from Pacquiao about his earnings so that they can determine whether he owes any tax or not. They are not accusing him of owing tax, they just don't know. They may either bill him or absolve him.. This is exactly the same as was reported before when it first came to the taboids. .

If he paid the amount of taxes that he was due to pay, he has absolutey nothing to worry about and should have had no problem turning over his financial records. When people refuse to cooperate with a routine investigation like this, and start pointing fingers and portraying themselves as victims of a conspiracy or witchhunt, it usually means they have done something wrong and are trying to worm their way out of it.

That's what he gets for getting into politics and surrounding himself with irresponsible idiots. When will these high profile athletes realize that they're not above the law? Same goes for celebrities and politicians. Whoever Pac hired to take care of reporting his expenses has an agenda. OR there could be expenses that Pac doesn't want to report that may be extremely personal and could be really bad for him. OR this can be all just a simple fix that's getting more negative publicity than it deserves. Whatever the reason may be, you can never feel bad for wealthy people that are irresponsible when it comes to their finances - especially when we, the fans, contributed to their wealth.
