I know Martinez adjusted and won the fight fairly. (and rightfully)
but we can't ignore the fact that Matthew Macklin had way more sucsess than he should have had and was expected to have. Martinez missed a LOT more than he use to and he wasn't dominant until after the KD.
I think that both Pac and Floyd are too fast and skillful. I mean if Macklin could box him, Pac and Floyd would do ten times better.
Even though I hate to admit it I think Floyd would do better against Martinez than Pacquiao but that both would beat him convincingly.
Thoughts?
Pac can't even beat Singsurat, Torrecampo, Marquez or prime Morales. How can he beat Martinez at 154.
LMAO, REAL TALK... HE GETS KNOCKED OUT BY A DUDE NAMED LORD RAIDEN, OR LUI KANG...
How in the hell is he gonna deal with Sergio Martinez???

You really should have left the conjunction "AND" out of your title, because quite frankly PAC CANT BEAT MARTINEZ AND THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL HE WILL EVEN FIGHT HIM.... He put out a weight to Martinez and then renigged on it.... Goddamn bum....
Hopefully Bradley whoops his ass...... and doesnt get robbed....
Seriously I actually feared for those two after watching Martinez-Macklin, Those two would have to be flawless to beat him because one mistake and Martinez would make them pay by KO.
I think floyd would have a good chance at winning a decision on the cards, especially considering that martinez' footwork often gets him out of balance and he gets knocked down. I could see mayweather knocking him down a couple of times, and at the same time not play into martinez' counter punching strengths.
Pacquiao i think would get dominated, he would play into martinez' counterpunching and get worked over by a much bigger, stronger, slicker guy.

My thoughts exactly.
You can make a case for Floyd beating Sergio at 154 but not Pac. I dont think Pacs weighed in on the wleterweight limit let alone 154 limited despite beating a washed up Margarito at a catchweight.
Sergio was having fun in the fight on Saturday and only got serious when the ruled that dogdy KD against him. Pac looked awful vs Shane and even worse vs Marquez in his last two fights so I dont know why people expect him to go from that to all of a sudden beating Martinez at 154? Nah wont happen. Pac would never take that fight anyway and if he did he would be knocked out.

Lets forget about Floyd & stay on topic. Would you agree that Martinez has better footwork than the 2011 version of Mosley??
If so, would you agree that Mosley's movement cut the Pacman offense in half??
If so, would you agree that the present Martinez's offense is far superior to the 2011 version of Mosley??
If so would you agree that Martinez is really bigger & stronger & has better than average handspeed in his own right??
Tell me again how how Pacman wins this please.
Please discuss.
Ever heard the term a good big en always beats a good small en? Well this is an exceptional big en vs a good small en.
Pacs style is all too wrong & his willingness to take a shot would result in his head getting cannoned off his shoulders.
Fight wouldn't at all be competitive if by some miracle it did get signed.

As people above has said I also doubt both fights happen.
And i completely agree that people get caught up in not so great performances that should have been better.
I just can't stop thinking about how much Martinez missed up until Macklin stopped moving his head. He faded, and if we know anything about Pac and Floyd it is that they do not fade.
I still think that Pacquiao would win. It wouldn't look pretty, and it would be close but I think he could do it if he could avoid the right hook you are talking about.
Also, Martinez seemed to sometimes freeze when Macklin got off first. Which Pac would do a lot, if he won't be to cautious about Martinez power.
I don't think either do. I wouldn't give Pac a chance at 154 vs Sergio
Not even a punchers chance.
Sure it was Macklin but Macklins a tough kid who has come on a lot in recent years & Macklins a good size middleweight where as Pac is 5ft6 with about a 65" reach. He only weighs about 145lbs on fight night too.
Sergio would rip his head off and his team know it.
I really don't know. Pacquiao has been protected from southpaws his entire career. He is 3-1-1 against them (5-2-1 if you count Morales for his stance changes)....Sergio is bigger, stronger, and almost as fast as Pac. Pacquiao would have to dig deep to get a W against Sergio, but he has pulled off the amazing feats in the ring many times before. I'd give sergio the edge, but just barely.
If they want the best Martinez, take him at 160. I think he can beat both guys truthfully. What people sometimes get too caught up in are fighters constantly having dominant performances against fighters as that's what's always supposed to happen. Some of the best fighters in history struggled against fighters most people here couldn't name. I find that him being able to adapt and be assertive (which is something most guys who fight Mayweather and Pac don't do) is much more impressive than dominating a guy you're heavily favored over. I don't think Pacquiao would ever fight him because he's an offensive fighter and would be taking a huge risk against a strong puncher like Martinez. Floyd I believe would be more cautious and just try to pick his shots like usual, but he'd also need to be careful because Martinez is very unorthodox yet very effective. I honestly don't think either fight ever happens.
I was disappointed in that Martinez didn't adjust alot sooner but I think Macklin should be given credit, one could easily they they studied Martinez well. As for Pacquiao beating Martinez, no I don't see it, he's looked like utter crap his last two fights and honestly I don't even view him that highly anymore, depending on his performance against Bradley that can soon change, all depends.
Another thing that needs to be looked at is Martinez's right hook, it's extremely deadly against southpaws, he uses it alot more against them. That and his jab would kill Manny, of course size is also a factor.
