Full Campillo/Cloud scorecards submitted by judges [Pic]

Cloud is a dude I've really been liking lately. Like the way dude handles his business. But he lost this fight. Guess we l;earn from this fight and some others that its better to generate money for your promoter than it is to be lucky or good.

Just watched the fight last night and scored it 114-112 in favor of Campillo. I thought Campillo fought a very spirited fight and was impressed by his hand speed, combination punching, lateral movement and ring generalship. Also, he continually landed the harder, crisper punches throughout, as evidenced by Cloud's busted up face... Having said that, I thought Campillo let up on the gas pedal a couple times; and had he pressed a little harder he may have been able to score a knockdown or the knockout. He was throwing some serious heat in there, had Tarvoris backing up and had him hurt on several occasions. I felt Campillo had him and could've gotten the KO had he just done a little more. Unfortunately, he let him off the hook and lost the fight as a result...

we are going to be seeing robertson and elizondo a lot more. just like joe cortez. people in boxing fail upwards.

This is a fight that Campillo CLEARLY won, however, I can see how casual boxing fans might believe that Cloud could have won (Not by 116-111). Despite the beating that Campillo put on Cloud, for many parts of round (2nd half of 11th for example) he was being slick and cagy, Bernard Hopkins style. He was catching punches on his shoulders, rolling, slipping, etc. If you didn't know what it was he was doing, I can see how you might thing that Cloud was actually punishing him in some way. However, Campillo won. If you don't agree, you need to either a) watch more boxing, or b) shoot yourself in the face.

cloud won-- i gave him 1-4-6-9-11-12 campillo had a strong tenth but came out in the 11th and 12th and got outworked...he lost the fight on the last two rounds. WOW!!!!! WTF fight were watching!

Campillo dominated the 9th round to such an extent that a seasoned judge would have been more likely to give the round to Campillo 10-8 than even considering scoring it for Cloud.

Despicable scores

This was a billion times more worse for boxing then what happened in Germany this weekend. maybe from a hardcore fan's point of view. i met up with my mother (casual fan) for lunch earlier and she had asked me about the haye-chisora brawl. i guess it was on the news here (i dont watch much tv) but stuff like that gains more mainstream attention than shoddy decisions, unfortunately.

Elizondo's last few rounds nad Robertson's card in general are terrible.

These bad decisions are clearly intentionalespecially the one that came from inexperienced judges who hope to get more fights by giving the victory to the fighter who "must" win (in this case Cloud). Denny Nelson is a very experienced judge who doesn't need the kindness of don king or other promoters to judge the big fights. Watch the maidana-alexander fight. I'm very sure that if alexander will be in trouble the judges will give it anyway to him (if the judges will be like the ones from the cloud-campillo fight. yes. these kind of decisions where the "A" fighter wins controversialy aren't about a bad spot at ringside or a toss-up round. sure, there are bad angles but when you have an arena full of fans boo'ing??? it kinda tells the story. I gave 1, 4, 6 and 12 to Cloud. So that's 114-112 Campillo. That's about as far as you can go with Cloud, those 4 rounds. I have to admit though, watching the actual fight after reading the RBR discussions from my phone and seeing Cloud get bashed for his performance and compared to Calzaghe-Lacy, I thought it was really bad. I panicked in the fight after Cloud had won that 10-7 round, 4th round, and 6th round(on my scorecard) I'm like, hold on a second, this fight is gonna be closer than I thought, this ain't no Calzaghe-Lacy. In the late rounds there might have been 2 close rounds that could have been given to Cloud, but I only gave him one. The fact is, it was a great fight that was tarnished by that 116-110 scorecard. If the judges really wanted to push it, they could have made it a draw. But they went overboard by giving the fight to Cloud. i agree with this all the way. 1, 4, 6, 12. 4 is the swing round in this fight. everything else (IMO) were clear-cut rounds for either guy. i personally gave cloud 1, 6, and 12. cloud won-- i gave him 1-4-6-9-11-12 campillo had a strong tenth but came out in the 11th and 12th and got outworked...he lost the fight on the last two rounds. watch the first half of the 11th round before the ref calls a timeout. campillo was beating him like a redheaded step-child for the first half of that round. cloud got nothing done in the first half of the round. i honestly think if campillo's rythym wasnt interrupted he may have stopped cloud in that round. cloud went all out after the break because he knew the fight might get stopped because of his cuts. now i agree, campillo didn't do much of anything in the 2nd half of the round but he got in a few clean combos and avoided most of cloud's offense, minus that big right hand that landed. that's more than cloud got accomplished in the first half of the round and there's no way cloud dominated the 2nd half like campillo did the first. on a sidenote, i think the promoters and networks need to realize that america is a melting pot and there's a much more diverse group of people here as opposed to other countries. whether you were born/live in america or not, not everyone is rooting for the guy who's from america. and not only that, but it's not just americans watching these fights. there's boxing fans around the world that wanna see the best fighting the best to find out who the best fighter is in each division, that are buying ppv or coming over to see the fights. i dunno about the casual fan (or their WIVES) but i don't watch boxing to see the pretty media darling win. sure, cloud is a big puncher against bums and mid-level guys but he aint knocking out any elite guys and i dont think there's anything boring about the way campillo fights. the difference in punches in this fight was the first round. cloud threw 70, campillo threw 10. 60 punches. cloud threw 42 more during the course of the fight. it's not like campillo is some kind of pot-shotting backfoot fighter who only counter-punches. dude was hurt bad in the first round and he came back and dominated. the underdog rising to the occassion and overcoming...i think the common person can relate to that more than 'johnny football hero' being awarded the prom king crown

That´s bull****, Cloud landed less than 10 punchs in the 11th and Campillo landed more than 20, how can u score the round to Cloud if even the refere stopped the fight to check Tavoris cut after a combination of Campillo. Bah!

Especially round 9 which was the best round for Campillo, he was absolutely dominant in that round!

I feel that campillo won, but it's no robbery because of the 2 K.D's Cloud scored that gave him 10-7 and that's great jump start to any fight.

Serious Question: What does it take to be a major fight judge? Anyone, boxing fan or not, can sit there and watch that fight round by round and say ok Campillo won this round, Cloud won this round. There are people on here, however few, who can respectfully say I believe that Cloud won, and that is fine. You're talking maybe a dozen of how many total posters. But to have 2 out of 3 judges who feel that way, its unfathomable.

I had 115 - 111 Campillo. I could see 114 - 112 at the worst ! I don't know what Fuc*in fight Robertdon was watching 116 - 110! This was a blatant robbery. I don't care how inexperienced a judge you are. It doesn't take a genious to see Campillo dominated Cloud after that first round!
