Ismayl Sillakh
The Next Light Heavyweight Champ Of The World
A new generation of true fighters will emerge led by rising superstar Ismayl Sillakh to lift boxing from the shadows of the UFC. A generation of fighters that will rival Sugar Ray Leonard, Mohammed Ali, Tommy Hearns, Marvin Hagler . Fighters that people will love and respect. Not like the paper champions of today that spend more time talking than fighting.

Ismayl Sillakh "I Am The New Generation"
I'm not sure if Sillakh is ready for Jean Pascal. I want him to fight a couple gatekeepers first. Yusaf Mack and Glen Johnson maybe??
I think its the other way around. If Pascal was ready he would fight and beat Sillakh who is the #2 ranked LHW in the WBC. Sillakh is ranked ahead of Pascal.
Its obvious who is "not ready" and its pascal who walks around with cookies in his pocket and sugar in his tank.
Recent quotes from an article in the Glendale Examiner. California
“WBC made a mandatory eliminator fight, me and Jean Pascal” said Sillakh who along with his trainer and manager went to Las Vegas to WBC convention last December to plead his case for a shot at a title:” I don’t know why Jean Pascal doesn’t want to fight me. He said that I am not in his league and I don’t deserve to fight him. Who is he? This is Jean Pascal. Come on! He is a Canadian guy who fights only in Canada. He is not a super champion who can fight wherever he wants. If WBC says you have to fight, you must fight.”
Unfortunately team Pascal declined to fight Sillakh. Calling out Jean Pascal is a daring proposition that requires a great deal of confidence on the side of the young prospect from Ukraine. Pascal is young and strong with power in both hands. I asked Ismayl what he thought about that.
“I am fast. I am young, I’m strong. I’m much faster,” replied Sillakh(17-0,14KO’S):” I got a lot of experience. I got eighteen years in the game. I think Jean Pascal is ok to fight with me because he is a fighter. He knows boxing. He has pretty good amateur experience. May be as a boxer he wants to fight me, but as a business man or his promoter; they don’t want to fight because it’s dangerous. I’ll knock him out. He knows it. I’ll knock him out. I’ll stop him.”
Sillahk's best win is over a complete bum in Despaigne. Pardon me if I need to see him beat someone with a pulse before crowning him on P4P lists. Pascal has his flaws but he's still about 15x better than anyone Sillahk has faced.
:tragedy:
I'm obviously talking about his potential, not his current resumé.
Sillakh will be a p4p top10 list guy in my opinion (from what we've seen, judging his potential), but a superstar? Don't know about that. It takes more than ability to get there.

Sillakh will be a superstar, trust me....And I thought there were some knowledgeable posters on here?

Team uppercut, I said nothing about your guys fighting style. What I'm trying to tell you is ease up on the superstar talk until he fights some better compitition. Boxing history is filled with fighters who were billed as the next superstar and turned out to be nothing special.
I wouldn't call him a superstar yet, but I am on the bandwagon. have been for a while now. He's undoubtedly the next Light Heavyweight Champ. it's just a matter of when now.
Sillakh, the next boxing superstar? Take it easy there Teamuppercut. Walk before you run.
Sillakh has been running after Pascals scared a $$ for months, Sillakh is a fighter not a runner.
If he wanted to run he'd have joined the friggin track team with Pascal.
Does Pascal have ANY fans outside of France...I mean Canada.
