Is Showtime looking to set up Bute vs Dirrell?

They turned down Bute vs Froch, and said that they would prefer to see Bute vs an American. Andre Dirrell seems like he would be the most logical choice. I wonder if this is what Showtime is pushing for. This would be an excellent opportunity for both fighters and I hope the fight pushes through. Dirrell will be as fast as anyone Bute has had. And Bute is very slick and heavy handed himself. This would be a cracking fight.

I would like to see Dirrell fight another tune up fight first then Bute.

Dirrell needs to beat a top ranked fighter before he gets his shot. His last 2 performances were very questionable, he has to show he can put it together before he fights for a world title again. I would love to see the fight then. Earn his shot at Bute? Beat a top ranked fighter? Who the fukk has Bute beaten? Dirrell fighting Abraham and Froch shi/ts on anything Bute has ever done in his career.

Imagine Bute vs Andre and Ward vs Anthony in the same night, that would be epic.

Showtime might want the bout, but the fight won't generate the kind of $ to make it worth the risk to Bute. Bute can make 1mil per fight fighting nobodys, the only way this fight happens is if Dirrell is willing to fight for 100K while Bute makes 1 million.

That would be a good fight. And also a good preparation fight for Bute if he wants to fight Ward soon.

Bute vs Dirrell is the only option as i cant see Kessler Bute happening and doubt Showtime would accept the Kessler
