I really don't know why people are bothering to debate about the stadium and why it should or should not be built to host the fight in late may. It's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard, given the circumstances. After all of the bull**** which has plagued the possibility of getting this fight done, the idea of constructing a temporary outdoor stadium just a very short time before the fight, is pure foolishness when you consider how many problems could arise during construction time (which happens regularly on most building sites), resulting in more delays. If construction preparations had began already, then it would be a realistic scenario, but the time frame Arum talks of, is nonsense, and when he says things like "the earliest it could be completed is late may".... that pretty much tells you that delays could easily pop up, leaving us all standing around and arguing amongst eachother again, only this time instead of saying **** like "pacquiao, take the test", we will be treated to regular quotes from construction experts being interviewed by the boxing scribes on the subject of who's REALLY holding up progress and other conspiracy theories.... then before you know it, The Super Mario Brothers will be the bad guys for a week because they ****ed up the temporary plumbing for the outdoor restrooms. I'm exaggerating now, but this whole thing is slowly driving me insane. I really don't know how anyone could take this temporary stadium proposal seriously in this situation. It should also be obvious why Floyd can not change the May 5th date, and to be fair, why should he? Jesus Christ , Manny can't seem to stand up to his own promoter, he's in no position to tell Mayweather to man up and get more time from the courts. Certainly not in the name of a non existing stadium being completed in a matter of weeks.

I think the fight has to happen now. It would be absolutely humiliating for Pac to avoid the fight. Boxing fans know that moving the fight to later May would be a big inconvenience to Mayweather, while having the fight on May 5th is no inconvenience to Pacquiao whatsoever. The stadium excuse has crumbled as a result of Bob's own words. There is nothing preventing this fight other than one man's will.

No, just a guy trying to figure out why it's impossible to move a date 3 weeks for $40+ million extra in the bag. The sentence was already commuted to June 1st, so there's no conflict. The judge isn't going to say no to a Pacquiao fight when she just commuted the sentence for TBA. I've been of the opinion since Floyd announced he booked the MGM for Cinco De Mayo 2 weeks before Pac-JMM 3 that he did so with the plan of fighting a Mexican from GBP's stable, this is well documented. Because as people keep stating the obvious over and over. His jail sentence was delayed because he has a legal obligation. If he wants to fight on another day he will have to go before the court again and plead with the judge. Bob Arum being a former lawyer knows this and is just using different dates to prevent the fight from happening. Also most likely if he goes before the judge to plead another date theres a possibility of pissing off the judge. Its also time consuming and unecessary when he already has the stadium booked as opposed to Arum that is just calling random dates with no definate stadium or specific date. Also, I'm sure that if Mayweather already has an agreement with MGM, they aren't going to just say: "oh, you want to fight somewhere else? Go right ahead!" Especially because I don't think MGM was part of the group planning to build the supposed stadium.
