Im as big of a floyd hater there is but cmon now. Floyd is gonna get the celebrity treatment in jail. He'll get round the clock protection from the flomo mafia, he'll get special food that noone else in jail would get, as much yard time as he wants, and possibly even a treadmill to use freely.
Why anyone would think floyd would lose anything while in jail is beyond me.
Floyd is a gym rat, he's probably never even been away from the gym for longer than a month. 3 months with no sparring, no gym work and no roadwork will affect him. There's a reason he can take these "vacations" and come back as sharp as he does.
Father time >>> Jail
Floyd always seems to keep himself in shape, but his undoing or falling short as one of today's best fighters will be based overall on him simply just getting older, which happens to every fighter at some point if they continue fighting.
If you think laying on a bone thin metal bed won't affect your back after 90 days, think again. also no vitamins, protein shakes, massages, and all other luxuries that make you feel good mentally to get into the biggest fight of your life. Also very high stress level, because he's never been to jail before.
He's also an elite athletic specimen who has shown no signs of deterioration ever since he's been boxing. Yeah, he may have only fought 4 rounds in 19 months, but he's also a gym rat who trains (which includes sparring, which helps with reflexes) harder than anybody in the sport apart from maybe Hopkins.
And those 4 rounds against Ortiz were more than enough for any viewer to see that his reflexes are still as sharp as they've ever been. The two-piece alone was enough to tell that.
Celebrities have almost always gotten special treatment to make it pseudo-jail. I've read about a marathon runner getting a treadmill in his cell so he could train in jail and he wasnt anywhere close to top level of his sport. Im sure floyd will get all the equipment and workout time he wants.
I think something like that probably would happen.
Floyd brings in a lot of revenue for Nevada. It's in their best interest to keep him winning.
Special treatment is more than likely
do people realize he's 34 and he relies very heavily on his reflexes ?
the Jail time certainly wont help

90 days isn't enough time to lose your reflexes, Maniac. And it's not like he can't continue to workout in lockup. Even in his cell, if he wishes.
it isn't solely the jail time
It's the fact that he's in his mid 30's and has only fought 4 rounds in the last 19 months.
it could affect his footwork quite badly- depends if he can walk straight when he gets out, or if he'll be walking like a cowboy from that gay cowboy film.

county lockup is basically getting an after school detention in a rough school in the city lol. how the hell is being locked up for 3 months in a COUNTY prison, going to have any negative effect on a fighter of floyds caliber?? when i say its a walk in the park, im probly severely underestimating floyds "time" he will be doing...
From what I gather flomos are worried that because floyd is a gym rat it might slow him down not getting cardio and doing too many pushups or something. As if floyd's lawyers arent gonna make arrangements for him to have everything he needs.
