Last big fight card of the year. Both Jermain Taylor and Andre Dirrell are coming back after recent setbacks in the last year or so. Also, you have two undefeated prospects going head-to-head against one another in Luis Garcia and Alexander Johnson...
JT JT JT!
he's obviously nowhere near where he was but he certainly brought that jab back
that thing was like a phone pole and he was throwing three of them all night long and stepping to the side
much better than that methodical triple jab he was throwing against abraham
Yeah that Jab is a real weapon wheen used right from JT and he needs to stick with it! The right hand was pretty good too but seemingly he hurt it because he stopped throwing it....
MW isnt so special these days imo, Sergio is the man and i rate him but he isnt even a true MW... Pirog - whatever..., Macklin,Barker,Sturm,Murray ect are all decent fighters but nothing to get excited about imo
Dirrell looked like he'd never been gone, cant wait to see him in with a Bute or someone...
Taylor i really like and i hope he can make it back on top, the guy has major flaws but was always gonna be WAY too much for a punk like Nicklow
He looked fit (but thats easy when its all on ur own terms) fast and sharp, getting the rounds in was good for him and the stoppage for me was a bit early but was more than likely coming anyway
GO Taylor! :boxing:

Yeah, iffy stoppage. Still impossible to gauge where Taylor's at from that fight, but...
Whatever. Enjoying tonight's victory. :trink26:
Sebastian Zbik could be a nice step up from this.
Zbik could give JT issues without the KO threat.
The doctor went into the Nicklow corner 2-3 times. The rest before the stoppage, you could hear him in the corner. After a doctor goes into a corner, he'll advise the ref and the ref acts accordingly. Nicklow wasn't competitive, but I want a fighter to be given as much of a shot as reasonably possible, so I don't agrre with the stoppage; that stoppage belongs in the UK.
And he could have knocked him out seconds later after the stoppage IMO. Good for Taylor, good luck to him.
True. Honestly, Nicklow would have just covered up while Jermain was throwing hard shots, and it would have been stopped 5 seconds later anyway. The crowd booing was disrespectful. I'm happy for Taylor though. A great interview too. A true sportsman and a great guy.
A bit of an early stoppage, but Jermain was kicking his ass anyway.

Taylor looks terrible.....struggling against a stiff.
I don't think he looks too bad, coming off a extended layoff against a guy who keeps leading with his head
