What options does Froch have?
Everyone that got owned in the tournament seemed to have lost interest in their careers. Kessler and Dirrell didn't fight for a year and a half, Abraham is giving up and fighting a bum with 11 losses probably to wind down his career.
Jermain Taylor stopped fighting for 2 years and is probably not gonna return.
So question is will Froch fade away like the rest of the losers? Or can he somehow rebound?
Bute.
Ward not talking like he wants Bute right now.
exactly! i think it would be good to have Froch back with a title! i like Carl even in a loss he still showed allot of heart! And shows he still has the desire to work on things and come back. i think the best thing for him, is to take a small break get together with ward and spar, then get back out there and get Bute!
Bute.
If Bute is still scared then Froch should have a fight in Nottingham in April/May against a good contender opponent like Green, Bika, Oosthousen (spelling?).
After that he should fight the winner of Stieglitz vs. Kessler for the WBO title.
There's plenty of fights out there for him:
- Kessler rematch
- Bute
- Stieglitz
- Dirrell rematch
- Bika
- Oost..
- Green
thought that 4 a second cloud wins by ko
Cloud - Froch would be a war!! Cloud is very inactive but can bang and loves to brawl. I would pay good good money for that fight. Imagine how awesome it would be if they fought in nottingham infront of Froch's home town. What a great evening that would be.
I think a Kessler rematch is a priority of his, but he'll only have it in England, preferably a homecoming fight in Nottingham.
Either that, or aim for a belt in another division, 175. A Pascal rematch, Cloud, or a winnable fight against Cleverly would be huge in Britain.
Froch has been running on fumes for a while now. He said way back in the Taylor fight that he wasn't planning on hanging around, that he was getting on in years and was going to make a big push for the top. Well now he's reached that top and fallen short in a pretty one-sided fight so it'll be interesting to see how his motivation's been affected. Froch doesn't strike me as someone who'd be content in second place so does he retire or try for a fight with Bute then a later rematch with Ward, pointless as that would be? The guy's stock's not really been affected by the loss. Everyone knew he was going to lose anyway and he's still wickedly entertaining to watch. After his gruelling schedule I wouldn't grudge him a long holiday followed by a homecoming fight. He's deserved it.
Dont want to see a Dirrell rematch, Pavlik would be interesting (if Robert Garcia can whip him into shape) or a Kessler move up to 175 Pascal rematch, Cloud all interesting fights, who ever Froch fights next he deserves to fight at home.
Bute, a Kessler rematch (in Nottingham) or retirement. He can still entertain the fans but the pinnacle for him was his domination of Abraham. He should be very proud of his career but it's downhill from here.
Id love to see a Kessler rematch.
I know the Dirrel fight left people thinking the wrong person won, but by **** that first fight was a stinker.
Kessler rematch would be fireworks.
Easily could make a giant payday if he went to Montreal to fight Bute. Especially since Ward is saying Bute needs a big win before he fights him.
He could have a rematch with Kessler too, but at 34 his career is really winding down IMO.
