Yes, Floyd is one of the best inside fighters in the biz, Pac not so much. Cortez would actually benefit Pac moreso than Mayweather if he were to Ref the fight. Tony Week's is my choice.
It seems to me that Khan has studied Money the way he pushes the head down, and holds the hands more than he studies Pac.
Patterson even commented that the pushing didn't bother him as much as Khan consistantly pushing his head down.
When Money fought Sugar Shane, didn't everyone see how he held? The Ref seemed to let him get away with such tactics all through the fight.
I'd like to see them fight, rather than fifty breaks by the Ref.
I expect to see Money doing the same thing during the fight with Manny, and I'd like to see points taken away if that happens.
Manny's best plan is to keep the pressure on Money and throw punches in bunches. That was the biggest mistake and disappointment to me in the Marquez fight about Pac, he didn't keep punching. It's hard to counter when the punches keep coming, and Money will make him pay if he does the same.

floyd cant work his magic without his elbow rowl :(
lol at this post..................
Yes. For me Cortez spoils to many fights. Im dissapointed seeing him ref any fight if im honest, i would be hugley dissapointed if this fight was made and he was the man in charge.
He's terrible, but the reasons he tends to be terrible I don't think would apply to this fight.
I agree. With that said though, I'd still want someone else. Smoger, Weeks or Bayless would be just fine with me.
No not Lane, he had a stroke, and not Smoger, he'd allow mayweather's favourite forearm across the throat. Personally, and I've said this on other threads, I like the way that Joe Cooper refereed the Khan-Peterson fight. Gives not only good warnings but acts on his words. Haven't seen a better ref for years.
And also makes boxers to fight out of an impending clinch, when one is holding. THAT'S the way a REAL ref would act. There weren't more than a dozen real clinches in the whole fight.
Joe cooper was so fat and slow. He was so out of position fighters were stumbling off his feet and fighters throwing punches well after the end of the round for nearly half the fight.
Chances are joe cooper would miss critical fouls and accidental headbutts entirely.
they should bring judge millz lane out of retire for that fight it would be awesom !!!!! also the guy smoldgers who refereed the cotto fight would be a good choice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems he's always on Floyd's d1ck... I'm fair but I'm firm my ass he's a stupid ref to have now IMO
It doesn't matter who the referree is. Lampley and Merchant will b.itch and gripe about the ref's performance simply because their least favorite fighter (Mayweather) will be taxing the ass of their favorite fighter (Pacquaio) and they will find fault in everything the ref does. Also, the Pac worshippers will be *****ing about the ref after Pac gets knocked out because they won't have any other excuses left and they certainly won't give Mayweather any credit.
