Bottom line is the bottom line. Khan is the money fight for lamont. Make some demands and give the man a rematch. I give khan credit, not many fighters would have fought in the challengers backyard. If I'm lamont I say A.C. Close but not in d.c. Forget england. Lamont is the champ now. Khan wanted no part of a rematch with maidana or prescott so I feel no pity for him. Yep, Khan probably wouldn't but thats not really the point. An immediate rematch usually follows a fight that has at least one of 3 things but usually all 3. 1. it was controversial. tick. 2. It was an upset. tick 3. it was a great fight. tick. Had Khan won you lose 2 and probably 3 since Khan lost the points. So a rematch doesn't have as much interest to it. It would have been oh well, Peterson put up a great effort but fell short, lets see how they go in other figthts. Now there's alot more questions we want answered. SO more interest and more money.

Nope. He refused to give Maidana a rematch, immediate, or otherwise. Khan was too busy fighting old fighters like Barrera, and lighter punching guys like Kotelnik, Salita and Malignaggi. Khan does not want to give a rematch to Maidana, who gave him a hell of a fight. Now Khan saying if Peterson has balls, he would give him a rematch, so does this means that Khan is admitting he has no balls himself? Peterson is very grateful for Khan giving him a shot at the titles and doing it in his hometown. He seems like the type of guy that would return a favor, boxing wise. He says he's gonna give Khan the rematch so I guess it's going to happen. But given Khan's history with rematches? They're non-existent and Peterson should keep it that way. Honestly, now that Peterson has the WBA, IBF...he's in a position where he can call out Bradley and attempt to avenge the lost. That's what I would do if I were Peterson, THEN fight Amir Khan. Peterson doesn't need the belts for the public to demand Khan face Peterson.

No immediate rematches. HBO has big plans and Lamont is not a part of it. When you have a fight that could be scored either way yet one of the judges has it 114-111 even after 2 points have been deducted...handwriting + wall=BS. Lamont'll have to KO Khan in the rematch to win. And please belief there won't be an immediate 3rd trilogy fight. HBO will act as if Lamont doesn't even exist. I think a rematch should happen. Considering Khan would have won the fight without the deductions and it was very close even with the deductions. Depends on Peterson though. I imagine Peterson will want more money this time round. And Khan may get into some perdicaments now with money. I imagine a lot of people will demand more of the share from Khan after this setback.

He was moving up anyways and would have given up those belts either way. This loss wouldn't mean much for Kahn, as long as he continue to win against top opposition. He can fight Ortiz at WW.
