Amir Khan to 147, A big mistake?????

Khan must make major improvements if he decides to move up...i can't see that happening....

really khan should just move up asap and build his resume there. welter has some top guys that he can beat. It has some top guys he could try to beat. Then it has guys he would actually fight like Matthew Hatton, Jan Zaveck and Demetrius Hopkins.

no, him and his team believe he'll actually be better up there, plus it's good money considering ortiz is making a name for himself, along with jones and other possibilities. i want to see khan/brook go down as well.

Berto can decide to be a pressure fighter (Quintana) Ortiz can decide to be a pressure fighter. Brook is a ? ( a lot of talent) If constant pressure is the kryptonite. Berto and Ortiz can supply it.

He could always beat up Devon Alexander. Berto, Ortiz, Brook give him big problems. agree...IMO 140 to 147 has got to be one of the hardest jumps in boxing division,,,you must make adjustments in your game because of the bigger and stronger fighters ..

147 as a whole is a weak division, Khan easily beats Brook, Jones, and he'll have problems with but COULD probably overcome both Berto and Ortiz.

Sh*t you guys must not follow Amir's career. He moves to 147 you can bet your ass it will be to fight a couple guys who can't crack an egg. He stays at 140 he will be forced to face some big hitters and bad style matchups if he wants to remain relevant.

I think Lamont's body punches weren't really able to slow Khan's roll. Otherwise he wouldn't have been running around till the end. Granted Peterson has feathers in his fists. I think it would be a mistake but mostly because at 147 there will be fighters who will be physically stronger than him and will actually illegal push him back.

Mistake or not, it might be the best choice for him physically, he's not getting any smaller. The only reason he'd stay at LWW for a few rematches he owes.
