he would've, could've, should've....at the end of the day he didn't!!...I hold the Cotto fight against him....but after seeing how Arum has kept Manny away...I could see why they didn't fight when it REALLY mattered....Marg was NEVER on the radar imo....Marg is just a tough dude...thats all!!!....and this is no tough guy contest...its boxing!!....any good BOXER can beat Marg easily!!!....its just when you wanna play tough guy with him...he wins....Floyd would've toyed with dude imo....dude had ZERO chance...Cotto had a chance back then....but imo Floyd would've pocketed BOTH like small change....but he DIDN'T!!!...thats all that matters in my book!!
It was apparent then, but it's painfully obvious now. Arum won't match his fighters with Floyd.
Back before Floyd left Arum, he wanted De La Hoya, Cotto and Hatton, for a certain number. Floyd split from TR, and was able to get a better number than Arum told him was there. Is it really a coincidence the only guy he didn't get then was an Arum fighter, and the only guy he can't get now is an Arum fighter?
Can't blame him, Bob runs boxing on the low. Just use your eyes people (not dude I quoted, specifically). No one has done what Floyd's done the way he's done it. FFS, even the most of the media HATES that he's undefeated, and has propagated the 'boring' and 'coward' labels because he wins fights without being touched or having to engage, and he wins them easily against other world-class fighters.
Too little too late for Floyd for these fights to have the same significance they would have if Marg and Cotto were in their prime when Floyd avoided them like the plague.
I think he's neck to neck with pac as a fighter of the decade.
What do u think?

That's why if he beat atleast one of them he could atleast be a worthy challenger to pacs fighter of the decade award.
you're so naive, it actually makes me feel sorry for you

He didn't though. Instead of fighting Cotto, he chose to move Ricky Hatton up from 140, then he retired until Cotto lost.
Lol @ everyone who still believes Floyd was "ducking" fighters to "protect his 0."
Media propaganda- bought hook, line and sinker. Even funnier- Cotto and Margarito were the guys to beat him. :lol1:
Just don't complain when Bob Arum blocks the Pacquiao fight again, and Floyd instead chops Miguel Cotto down. After Cotto stops Margarito within the next hour of course.
FYI- Yahoo named Floyd their Fighter of the Decade.
Listen to him y'all, you may learn something. :boxing:
Let's be honest, there's no way cotto or Rito can beat mayweather. Cotto is a better boxer than Rito, but it's obvious that he wouldn't be able to win more than two rounds, cotto doesn't have the speed, stamina, or defense.
You lost them with that one.
Womp womp womp.... dream on flomos dream on... No chance floyd would ever demolish cotto or marg the way pacquiao fawked both of them up. but then again floyd always wins fantasy fights.
I don't want to call you a Pactard, so please humor me. Explain to me what Cotto and/or Margarito bring to the table, and just how they would beat Floyd Mayweather. I'll wait.

I don't expect any rational or intelligent response. Let me just say- all I did was state the facts. There were 2 recognized FOTD's, that I'm aware of, named by two different organizations. One chose Manny, one chose Floud. Don't shoot the messenger.
That's all subjective. Just like you using the word flomo to describe any boxing fan that observes Floyd Mayweather with a rational mind. You choose ignorance, with all due respect.
What makes you choose the sides you choose and believe what you believe anyway, if I may ask? Please explain to me, in your own words, what gives the BWAA credibility. Keep in mind, I'm not saying whether or not they should hold credence, and 'because it's tradition/sounds good/everyone else says so' is not a legitimate answer.
Stop mentioning Cotto and Margarito god damn it. They are okay fighters and that's it. They are not great, they are not Hall of Famers, they are not ATG's. They were never, at any point of their career, gonna beat Floyd. Floyd was not gonna fight them over Hatton and De La Hoya because of promotional differences and financial reasons. Just deal with it.
floyd is a ww when he fought them :lol1:

The Cotto win by itself probably would've been enough to edge out Pac. I do find it a bit odd that Floyd was willing to fight Mosley if he beat Cotto, but after Miguel won, Floyd "retired."
Also, had Floyd been the one to take Cotto's 0 instead of Margarito, there wouldn't have been a need to fight Tony, as he had recently lost to Williams (before the Cotto win put him back on the map.)
Mayweather still has a very good resume and he hasn't lost that many rounds in his career. Yes it could've been a bit better, but then it's probably not over yet either.

Cotto in 2007 was a hell of a fighter
this fukking doughnut ..........:lol1::lol1::lol1:
floyd whoops both anytime
bob arum wouldnt make the fights simply as that, just like now with manny
You should know what you're talking about if you're going to make assertions. Mayweather explicitly said that he didn't want to fight Margarito and Cotto "lived too far away".
Cotto in 2007 UD's Mayweather, Margarito in 06 probably loses to Mayweather unless May can't deal with the height and size yet.

Floyd was neck and neck with Pac for FOTD even without those fights. If Floyd took Cotto's 0 though I think the ducking thing would have stopped long ago.
No he still would have ducked the undefeated Hatton and Margarito probably Williams too and ofcourse Clottey
