Alexander vs Maidana to take place in St. Louis

I love Devon, probably his biggest fan here. But the last time he fought here I thought he lost a close fight and he didn't perform well at all IMO. As a matter of fact, I thought that he lost his last three fights. I don't know, I think he's maxed out with his current trainer. I will more than likely go to this fight, but if he doesn't fix some things in his game, Maidana could really hurt him. And to be honest, I'm not big on Madiana. But the thing is, dude can punch and Devon's defense has been real shaky. Good comment.

Now we know if this fight is close or Maidana does not dominate, Alexander wins. Alexander should box and show the fans that he is a top guy. Maidana should do what he does best and stay on top of Devon throwing power punches. This will be an exciting fight, I remember Urango caught Alexander an awful lot, more than he should have. Also Matthysse caught Alexander as well. Maidana should catch Alexander with something good, but we'll see.

Hard to argue with the location , its the only place that would sell out, however it also, unfortunately, comes with a guaranteed gift decision for Alexander (unless Maidana KO's him).

don't know if Maidana could carry that power to WW and he is fighting a guy who could take a punch in his home town. Alexander has to be the heavy favorite in this fight

Unless Maidana stops him he's not winning. I know, this is one o those fights where if you want an almost guaranteed win, bet on Alexander to win via decision.....he'll get it unless he is ko'd cold

I had no idea Maidana had moved up to 147. This'll be an awesome fight, but I'm not banking on the judges to give it to the right guy if Maidana dominates him to a decision, he better KO Alexander or else he loses. That being said, I think Devon has the skills to beat Maidana too. I'm interested to see how both of these guys are going to perform at 147, I do wish it was in a different location though.
