I think Cotto wants and definitely needs the redemption from this fight.
I think he might box smarter earlier on and try and pull out a points lead, trade when he has to, target the eye and the body on that side and when he gets into the later rounds he just needs to stay clever.
Old Cotto was a machine who thought he could walk through guys, if he fights smart (which I think he will) then hes got a very good chance
I watched the cintron/Margarito fight the other day and kinda winced when I heard cintron say in the interview before their second fight that Margarito hits like he has a glove full of bricks.
Wow, really? Do you have a link.
Very interesting......

Indeed.
It's even more suspicious when you consider Margs throws mostly arm punches. He very rarely has full range or his body-weight behind them.
Find it hard to watch Marg fights back now in general, the thought that he's fighting with illegal wraps is always in my mind.
Watching his punches have no effect until the later rounds is just very, very suspect.

Anyone else feel claustrophobic watching the replay of Cotto/Margarito one. Margarito was like the damn terminator in that fight.
I did, while Cotto had some early rounds, after rewatching the fight the 2nd time, it just seemed to me like Margarito was in control form the 2nd round to the last. I commend Cotto for lasting that long, bigger men have fallen sooner.
There are a couple of things that interest me about this fight. 1 being Cotto's shoulder that Stewart spoke on. If it was true that his shoulder was bad for years, then he may have had a handicap for a while now.
I believe that team Cotto chose Mayorga believing he was somewhat similar to Margarito. Cotto stood & traded with him & proved to have better power. I'd like to see if Margarito simply walks through the 2 handed attack this time. It'll be good to see him get some revenge. Although I still do not like that Margarito is getting yet another payday after he was proven a cheater factually against Mosley.

There are plenty of fans who think Cotto will win. I like his chances IF he changes his strategy this time around and tries to take a page out of Mosley's book on how to win. But if he does the same thing as last time he'll probably lose again.
Deep down Cotto believes that he'll win handily because in his mind (and a lot of others) Marg had to cheat the first time around. But what if he's wrong? What if Marg didn't cheat? Then what?
For the record I'm in the opinion that I really don't know if Marg cheated in that fight or not. Reason being is that I've read plenty of valid arguments from both sides. But in the end it should be a good fight and that's all that matters to me.
