The first few punches Tony lands on this poor bastard, Cotto will realize all that plaster talk was just a fairytale. The boogie man is real and is gonna tax that ass. War Tony!! Lifestyle chingon!
I think it will be a slower pace imo, but I hope Tony's going to bring it right out of rd1 instead of waiting till the mid rds. I wouldn't be surprise if either of them wins.
Remember that they're both out of their primes, so its likely they won't be able to take and bring the same firepower like their first fight with both fighters coming in with incredible momentum. Hopefully they prove me wrong though.
Tony was noticeably slower in both the Garcia and Pac fights, he still managed to have some very good moments in the Pac fight but mostly because Pac engaged him so much and provided those opportunities.
One thing you can say about Tony is he is going to try to come forward even if he's getting lit up. Mosley is pretty much the only guy I have seen actually force Tony backwards.
Margo has enough stamina and chin to make a rough fight for anybody. That and his dumb mentality that know when to quit for his own good makes him dangerous.
Tinta- you definitely have some very good posts.
I noticed a pattern from many posters, moslty Margarito fans, but some unbiased observers as well. Their predictions often include the "IT" factor. It goes something like this "Margarito is gonna tax that ass again, IF, his eye/face (and or if he isn't too shot) holds up."
News folks, Cotto and Margarito will do one of three things on December 3rd.
1.Win
2.Lose
3.Draw
That is it--that is boxing.
If you think your guy/gal is going to win, put some points/money down on him/her, and shut up. No need for these premeditated excuses.
TS, put some points down. I got a milly on Cotto...
Bringing logic and common sense into these forums only gets you frustrated and disappointed in the human race. Its really interesting there is probably only about 5% of posters who bring objectivity into this sight the rest simply talk S H IT in 90% of their posts sad.
After the Mosley beatdown, everyone was saying how Tony would have a plywood chin and he was shot.
His performence vs Pac, he would of taken out any other 147er or 154er that night.
your joking right. This human walking punching bag. If you can move, and have great stamina you can beat margarito, very easy fight for any elite boxer at 147. The only thing that Margarito had going for him was those bricks in his gloves. Without his WMD'S he cant beat the stamina out of you, thus he looses the fight!
Margarito will be mentally beaten before he enters the ring !!! The chants from the predominantly Nuyorican crowd will not be Derek Jeter it'll be FKN CHEATER !!! :lol1:
LOL yes indeed.

Kool so there wont be any excuses when Cotto beats him because im 100% sure Cotto will =)
Oh, believe me...there will be excuses from some very biased Mexican posters.
I personally think that if Margarito pulls it off, NOBODY will be able to rightfully downplay that win.

^^^I made that prediction way back in October 3r, and considering how many factors Margarito is going up against, he would definitely redeem himself in the eyes of many if he were somehow to stop Miguel Cotto again. Seriously, if anybody starts making excuses if Margarito wins again, they're just haters because, as I see it, Cotto has many advantages going into the fight.
But hey, if there are some posters 100% CONVINCED that Margarito is going to kick Cotto's ass again, then they have no right to make up excuses afterwards if Cotto wins...after all, they were absolutely CERTAIN that Tony was going to win again.
I'm convinced Cotto's going to win this time. Cotto's more active, less battle worn, more versatile, hometown advantage...
The only Margarito wins is if he stops Cotto, he has to go for broke, and if he does that, he'll leave himself open to counters...and the burning question is, as I've said before, we KNOW Margarito can take a punch, the question is: Will his face hold up?
The other unlikely probability is Margarito winning a decision in Madison Square Garden, but I don't think anybody would put much stock into that. He would have to win rounds very convincingly if he wanted to beat Cotto by decision in the Garden. The fact of the matter is, Cotto could throw a seven punch combination if he wanted, land only two of them, and the crowd will go nuts. Like it or not, that tends to influence judges.
*Looks back at post*
*Nods in approval at how awesome it is*
My thinking is that there's a clue in the title: Cotto Margarito II, as in I-I, EYE-EYE, get it?
Cotto by stoppage due to the new robot eye not holding up.
I remember thinking Margarito looked like a monster in the 24/7 leading up to the Pac fight. Thankfully Cotto isn't Pacquiao and Cotto is visibly afraid of Margarito

Sorry bro, but your boy tony is getting another Shane Mosely type beat down. He might not get knocked out this time, but he'll lose. The only chance Tony has is for Cotto to get tired late in the fight. If that doesnt happen, his ass is getting TKO'd late, or it goes to Cotto on points.
since this fight has been signed, i've said i could see either guy winning. it'd be nice to see cotto avenge a shady loss, but then again, it'd be great to see margs prove that win legit and shut all the people up who said he cheated that night against cotto. may the best man win, all i know is i'm pumped for december 3rd! :boxing:
I rewatched Pacquiao vs. Margarito and I have to say that the effort by Margarito deserves props. I still think Cotto was a bit more in the fight against Pacquiao scoring wise, but Margarito made it a rougher fight on Pacquiao.

what? lol....
cintron would've taken out any 147er 154er tonight lol

Ts your banking on a real damaged fighter with over a year layoff and unanswered questiobs bout his eyes.
He hasnt even won a high profile since beating Cotto either. Remember that. Cotto isnt prime either but at least hes been active and seems more fresh.
If it's like that Cotto is definitely winning. Margarito can't be reserved one bit. He has to be on that ass from the get go.
He's been off too long plus the hurting he took vs Pac.
I think he's going to start very slow + he's become a slower fighter.
That sparring doesn't fool me.
He looked like that before the Pac fight.
