The content of some of the articles is much better than I expected. I like the idea of you focusing on the Phillipines and maybe other countries in asia/se asia because really, you can go to 15 sites and read about the latest Mayweather or Marquez news, a lot fewer learning about other fighters, etc. The Phillipines isn't alone in boxer's not being given a chance and not promoted right. You have to realize that over 90% of fighters in the U.S.A don't make their living completely off of boxing. It's basically very difficult unless you are outstanding AND actually have a promoter who can help you. So many guys fight on undercards for very little money- certainly nothing you can live on, making their way slowly to the top with a lot of flights and buses to small towns and out of the way places just to get fights in. It's not much different really. I feel like the references to Khan being a star are really out of the norm. He was an Olympian in a sports mad country, so of course he's going to get big notice, and the opportunity to fight many places. I like the site and see some potential in it and potential for you to expand your coverage and grow as a writer. :cool: thanks. while i realize that its not just the local Philippine fighters who suffer from poor promotion and paydays, i cant think of any country who pays a fighter $92 for a 4round fight BEFORE deductions. the PI had a good share of successful amateur fighters, but unlike khan they never got the media attention they deserve. and what about the kamedas? i appreciate your feedback man and im looking forward to share more stories in the future
