I created this thread because I really believe that while Mayweather is in his prime, he is impossible to beat! So many fighters from all backgrounds and styles have had there chance to give Money his first blemish. Time and time again I have witness this man do unbelieveable things in the ring. His reflexes are cat like, and his focus is that of a brain surgene in the middle of removing a tumor from a small child. I have always said Mayweather was the GOAT, and i'm sticking by my words. I also believe that he is Impossible To Beat from 135 - 147. All opponants of Mayweather are left with only two game plans due to his skill and god given gifts. One is to fight hard being aggressive in constant attack mode. This plan will allow Mayweather to pick you apart and Possibly get you knocked out . The second plan is to try and box Mayweather. We all know this is impossible to be successfull at, because it will allow Mayweather to relax more and pop shot, which equals a slow beating for 12 rounds. Playing chess with the greatest boxer in the world is crazy. HATE HIM AND CALL ME STUPID, but until he loses im right and his track record speaks for itself.

I love how the thread says 135-147 but leaves out 130, which is Mayweather's prime and best weight and where is spent most of his career.
Great point...... Should have realized that before I posted
Here's your great champion on his ass! He quits again, in full retreat. Its ok EVERYBODY HAS HERO'S. Duran just isn't one of mind. I really dislike QUITTERS!!!
Compare Hearns resume to Casa..... Hahahaha :wave:Troll

No one is unbeatable, no one at all.
He had a questionable decision to Castillo, whether you think Floyd won or not, it's not debatable that the fight was close. How can it be impossible to beat someone when they have a fight like that on their record ?, if he's 'impossible' to beat shouldn't he of surely blown Castillo away?.

Being unbeatable doesnt mean you cant have close fights. It just shows how good your really are. Mayweather fought with one hand in that first fight and still won, then he set an immediate rematch to clear all doubt!! pACQUIAO NEEDS TO GROW SOME BALLS AND LEARN FROM mAYWEATHER.

you have to be a complete fool to think carrales was not one of the best ever @ 135.

Mayweather pitched a shut out! Clean effective punching. He controlled the distance, and tempo of the fight.
So does every loser , thing is Floyd did right like he is supposed to do without an injury , he didnt rob him the first then give him a CW and rob him again and duck the biggest fight out there just so I can rob him some more ,,,
lol Manny is a fraud and its laughable the petty crap you try to muddy the waters with ,,,,
Everybody is onto him the party is over , as a fan you need to wake and face reality , tell Manny to step up and fight Floyd .
:lol1: this donkey makes no sense ... this that be like no way withouth injury dun robb him ... exactly
i wasnt around for lenord and hearns but dela hoya would always tire in the late rounds, i think floyd excells in rounds 7-12 how and why i dont know. the guy has definitely trains his ass off from what ive seen. floyds ability to control tempo and adapt are what make him so tough.
and under those lights he performs in shut out fashion literally
good to see some agree that Mayweather is king!!SIZE]
I dont think the fighters between 135-147 now beat him but dudes like Hearns, prime DLH, Leonard, etc would be able to.

just from this era I would have loved to have seen:
prime Mosley at 140 -
Vernon Forrest with no shoulder problems at 147
prime Oscar at 147
I'm not saying they all beat him, but these guys bring a totally different element to the fight when they were in their primes. Floyd beat Oscar by split decision, maybe a 2 point difference on the official cards - and he was nowhere near his prime.
Shane had Floyd HURT bad with a couple right hand he knew he had to look for, even from a much older Mosley. When he was in his prime at LW, Shane having Floyd hurt like that early in the fight would have been trouble.
Shane never fought at 140, and Oscar and him always sucked against guys that moved and controlled the distance. Forrest would just get picked apart, he'd never find Floyd.
Just know that Duran would never lose to Clottey or (RIP Chico) get his ass whooped by Casa
Here's your great champion on his ass! He quits again, in full retreat. Its ok EVERYBODY HAS HERO'S. Duran just isn't one of mind. I really dislike QUITTERS!!!
I also know that defense is the secret behind mastering the sweet science of boxing. Any fool can throw a punch but only the gifted can master slipping, rolling, and catching. If it were easy then all boxers would be doing it. You say Duran would have defeated any version of Diego, but the fact is that Duran has never fought a fighter like himself. A relentless tough puncher with hand speed and a good chin. We all know he quit against Lenard, but what would he do when looking in the mirror. Carrles would have landing crisp sharp hard rights and lefts for as long as the fight went. This we all know.
Duran vs Davey Moore is what Chico and Duran would have looked like.... But since your so high on Corrales you must think that much more of Casamayor JLC and Joshua Clottey??? Diego for the most part had a helluva run for 4 yrs.... Duran dominated a division for 6 yrs.... Duran captured titles at several weights with the pinnacle being Iran Barkley when he was clearly past it.. Never seen Corrales face a challenge such as this one.... If you want to debate about arguably the best of all time at LW you have to come better then Chico..Your trying to make a comparison where there is none... For your sake plz stop
you have to be a complete fool to think carrales was not one of the best ever @ 135. He had no quit in him, he would never quit,, he'd die in the ring first. Any fighter who quits in my book, or files out just because thier hurt or frustrated is not an all time great. Boxing greats are Gladiators, they go out trying to win, no retreat no surrender. In a close war I would have to pick Diego over Duran , cause durans a known quitter!! End of story! If your gonna argue about a fighter it would be wise to at least pick one who didnt quit in the ring. Where I'm from they shoot dogs for that.

You have more boxing to watch..... I'm not saying hes (Mayweather) not one I actually agree with you he is an ATG but he doesn't have another set of ATGs in this area to compete with like say the Fab Five... Hof'ers on his resume maybe ATGs at the moment no..... Funny you should post those fighters also..... In order and according to the weight they fought at
135 Roberto Duran kills any version of Chico.... (RIP)
140 Wilfred Benitez does to Judah what May did.... Beat him for 10 rds.....
135 Gatti wouldn't touch Esteban De Jesus
140 Antonio Cervantes could box and what did Hatton struggle with???
Question b4 we go any further..... Of the guys listed how many have you actually seen fight??? Also how many May fights have you watched???
I spend most of my free time watching fights. Most I have seen at least 20 times each. I first saw Mayweather in 1996 in ATL GA during the olympics. I knew he was speacial at first glance. Since then I have seen every fight of his, including two in person live at the MGM. i assure you my boxing knowledge is vast and wide spread, covering every weight division and style. I'm still learning , but my knowledge as of now is light years ahead of the averge die hard fan. I currently have two sons boxing. Ages 14 and 10 and thier both undefeated so far. Both has been boxing since age 1, competeing since age 8. My father and all of his brothers were boxers, but also street men. I box and was somewhat succesful before joining the Military. I won golden glove two years in a row, 1996-1997. It runs in our blood just like the Mayweathers. I also know that defense is the secret behind mastering the sweet science of boxing. Any fool can throw a punch but only the gifted can master slipping, rolling, and catching. If it were easy then all boxers would be doing it. he was talking about fighters of today, this era
I saw a bunch of posts mentioning guys like Leonard and Hearns and Duran, assumed he meant all time.
I still wouldn't say it's impossible for anyone between 135-147 to beat him of fighters today, it's just unlikely.
None of the ATG that were mentioned in this thread were considered to be atg when they were currently fighting. It was only after they retired or were timely removed from thier prime. You guys dont see it now because Floys is active. Years after he is gone from the game, the world will look back and agree with me and millions of others. You asked what fighters could have competed with the other all time greats.
Diego C., at 135 is one of the most dangerous puching game changers in the history of the sport. His rough and tough hard hitting style would have made him a definite threat to any lightweight in the history of boxing. Not to mention his big a$$ lion heart!
Zab judah, reguardless of what you think was not consistant but at times when he was on, he was on. When in top shape and in his prime would have cause anybody problems at 140, and possiably koed a few of the greats with that killer uppercut!
Arturo gatti, a straight killer at 135. His never die attitude and tnt in both hands made him a killer that could ko anybody he could land a punch on!
Ricky Hatton, even though hes garbage today. At one time he was a very feared man at 140, and once even favored to be the first to stop Mayweather!! How quickly we forget!!
Theres still Moesly, de la hoya,Jesus Chavez,Jose Luis Castillo, and Juan Manuel Marquez. All who could have competed against the best in history with a chance of victory. Mayweather has dominated them all.

totally disagree. the only person i see giving him a reall hard time b/c of range is Hearns. hed outbox DLh and SRL imo
Personally I just dont see him getting passed heavy workrates like leonard especially considering I dont see him working Leonard over on the ropes like he does other fighters but thats just my opinion. I see a DLH fight being extremely close. I could see floyd outboxing him but I could also see Hoya outworking floyd.
