Blueprint on how to beat Mayweather

floyd is really vulnerable and not just vs southpaws... he really does not like pressure .. non stop onslaught (high punch output whether not landing cleanly) equals very poor offensive work rate for floyd... . Manny isn't a pressure Boxer. He uses constant ambush attacks, move to another direction, then reset and repeat. If he hurt you, then that's when he'll use constant pressure to clean your clock. All that sound great and all, except for the part when he misses with those ambush attacks; which cause him to be off balance and leave himself open to get counter.

Did you saw when Floyd mocked Ortiz's footwork during his media day workout? He knew Ortiz doesn't constantly use lateral movement by pivoting or circling around the ring; Therefore he didn't really have any reason to did so. It's the same thing with Mosley, he didn't constantly circled around the ring against Floyd either. I think Sergio Martinez can beat him. His style would give Floyd fits and his size advantage would be too much for Floyd, IMO. Martinez can fight going backwards he has a piston like jab(when he wants to use it) and he fights at a very unorthodox pace. I don't think anyone at 147 or 154 has the tools to beat him.

if mayweather comes in agressive against pacquiao like he did against ortiz then pacquiao will beat him. the mayweather that fought ortiz was for the most part coming forward (rarely circling) and standing in front of ortiz the whole night and you just don't do that with pacquiao. if mayweather does fight aggressive against pacquiao then we can see a fight similar to leonard vs duran I where leonard lost because he tried to fight duran's fight instead of outboxing duran like many people expected him to do. Here are some examples of fighters who can beat FLoyd: A) Size, reach bigger than Floyd and with solid jabs (powerful right hand would be a plus). Hearn B) Pressure fighters like Frazier or Duran with excellent inside game. C) Outslicks Floyd : Whitaker and SRL.

i think to beat mayweather one has to make it into a very dirty roughhouse tactic fight. like constantly hugging,grabbing, headbutting, leaning and putting a lot of weight on mayweather and don't let him box. can't out box the master but you can out hustle him. most fighter tried to box with him in the past. someone should really train only roughhouse tactics for a mayweather fight. I dont necessarily think theres a 'blueprint' on how to beat Floyd, because of his adaptability. However, he has a number of weaknesses, as all fighters do, that I would take into account if I wear fighting him. 1. Jab to the body. This is actually Mayweather's best punch in my book(or maybe jsut my favorite), but also one of the best ways to open up his defense. Mosley was flicking to the body before rocking Mayweather badly with a right hand. DLH landed one of his biggest and cleanest shots on Maywather by flicking to the body and throwing the right hand up top. The southpaw right hook. Judah was able to catch Mayweather a number of times with this punch, and it sort of makes sense why. Mayweather's right hand is usually glued to his face to prevent left hooks, and he uses his shoulder for the left hand. If you throw the right hook at the right angle or as a counter, you can get over that left shoulder and land on the temple. Dont forget Corley also hurt Mayweather with a right hook quite badly. 3. Body shots, forcing fight at close range. Pretty self explanatory. Going to the body prevents Mayweather from using his head movement, and getting at close range prevents him from using his legs. Much easier target, although still a hell of a problem to hit. Castillo is still the guy to give Mayweather his toughest fights, and I would follow his strategy if I were a Mayweather opponent. All that being said, someone like Mayweather is so versatile and talented, it would be very difficult to beat him, to say the least. I agree wholeheartedly with saying that a Thomas Hearns would make mincemeat out of Mayweather, but a fighter with that kind of skill and physical advantages is in a class of their own, you cant form a strategy based on that.

To go back on topic, I think the people who gave Floyd the most trouble were guys who were bigger than him and imposed their size on him. Guys like Ortiz and ODH. Floyd still beat these guys but they were able to make it uncomfortable for him. Hatton doesn't count because he did not have the size to muscle Floyd around. I think a guy like Kirckland would give him trouble. Pacquiao does not fight like this he instead tries to use his speed and punching power to overwhelm people but if you just sit back and let him come to you and don't get careless with your defense he is very beatable.

You still don't know WTF you are talking about. Did Arum off PBF 8 mill yes but it had things with it like an extension of his contract with Arum. These are Arums words from and ESPN interview.
