Interesting is Cotto the wildcard for May 5th?

Who knows, it could be what Ellerbe is talking about when he said "The little guy." Cotto is the little one in this fight, and well... after what happened with Cotto vs Marg I would love to actually see it happen. Margarito sounds like he is just being spoon fed, I think he is possibly legally blind. Still, Cotto winning would be a great fight to build off against Mayweather. Cotto avenges his first tainted loss, his only loss being to Manny and I think a loss to Floyd. He could still retire after that fight depending with his only "legit" losses being Manny and Floyd. Depending on how close (personally I can see a Pac/JMM situation) Floyd wins but probably looks like sh*t and really could very well lose. It would be great for Cotto's career and legacy really. Damn, went off on a tangent. Anyway, aside from the "little guy" comment, Cotto and Floyd did have meetings about promoting fighters. Knowing Floyd this could have been in the making for some time and Cotto is all about $$$ now. I can definitely see this happening.

If he gets past Margarito it would certainly be possible, I would think. To me that is kind of a soft fight but people still bring up Cotto like Floyd is scared of him, hell someone already did it in this thread~

I think May totally dominates Cotto but never happens. Cotto still lives in Puerto Rico.
