First Mayweather was ducking Hatton because of his pressuring style. Then it was Margarito. Then Cotto. Paul Williams. Mosley. All got beat and exposed.
Its clear people are just looking for the one person who will finally end Floyd's unbeaten run. We saw another one go to and thats Manny Pacquiao, why wont people just give it up already!
Mayweather dominated an opponent Pacquiao struggled with, therefore, Mayweather is better.
No need to make the fight.
Paq dominated two fighters that gave Mayweather a tough time, DLH went 12 rounds against Floyd in a close fight but quit on his stool vs Paq, Hatton went ten rounds vs Floyd but got wiped out in two vs Paq, therefore, using your own logic against you, Paq is better. No need to make the fight. You have just been defeated by your own supposed logic. Now, seriously, common opponent comparison settles nothing, that is why there is a need to make the fight.
Styles make fights. Mayweather never fought three of the five fighters on your little list, but most of them have fought several of the others. Floyd fought Hatton and Mosley. Hatton fought only Floyd because Paq killed him. Marg fought Cotto, Mosley, and Williams. Cotto fought Margo and Mosley. Mosley fought Cotto and Margo. For the most part Floyd let them fight each other, and then numbnuts like you say they wouldnt have a chance against Floyd because they lost a fight. News flash, somebody has to lose. If Floyd had actually fought the other three on your list he would very likely have lost a fight.
He wouldn't. Speed kills and his D too great
If he is so much greater than the other top fighters in and around his weight, why has he refused to fight most of them, instead opting to fight lesser fighters than the ones he wont fight.

It is exactly this kind of attitude..which gives him a pass. Why wouldn't the world want to see the 2 best p4p fighters in the world fight each other??
Why wouldn't the world want to see Mayweather fight a prime Cotto??
Hell I would love to see that fight now, even if Cotto is faded, it is still a great fight, but everyone knows Mayweather wouldn't take it, so why talk about it
I agree with you 100% brother!
Cotto was watching Floyd/Gatti. That was the perfect time frame for those 2! I could careless about why it was or wasnt, just that it didn't happen!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL he fought Hatton when he was undefeated, and he beat the same Mosley that destroyed Margacheato! Furthermore why is it not good for Floyd to fight Mosley and Marquez when they are 'old' but when Pacquiao does it years after Floyd it is ok? And why was Marquez deemed too small for Floyd when he is the same size as Pacquiao if not a little bigger now but Manny isnt too small for him to fight?!
The same size?? So when did floyd have to start eating 6,000 calories a day during training to get to 144 pounds?
Seriously you fuking flomos act like Pac and Floyd walk around at the same weight they fight at. Yes Floyd weighs 147 pounds 365 days out of the year lol!
These damn flomos. So quick to claim mythical victories. Mayweather doesn't have a win over any of those guys (Hatton @140, and @147 - Cotto, Margarito, a more prime Mosley, Paul Williams, Pacquiao). He never will.
He refused to fight ALL of them until they lost (as most great fighters do eventually when they continually fight the best as those guys did) or waited until they were old and past it or made them fight past their best weight. Yet he managed to retire for 2-3 years and fought 4 out of 7 opponents at welter who were coming up in weight or had just one fight at the weight, and he cheated Marquez on the scales.
It's the most fraudulent hi-profile welterweight career I've seen in my time watching boxing. Pacquiao can have 3, 4 or 5 close fights with Marquez won't change anything that Mayweather has done, or more precisely NOT done.

It's the same old **** really they are dying to see floyd lose it's funny cuz you don't hear anyone talking about cotto anymore back in 2007 they were like floyds scared. Cotto goes and gets his ass kicked so they look for a new guy to take his place and that person at the moment is pacquiao. It won't be long before pacquiaos Downfall and they'll all move on to some next guy (khan -.-)

Floyd did not/has not, fought margarito, cotto, pacquiao, for me that is scandalous, considering he had good opportunities to make the fights happen. You could even throw Paul Williams in there, they have all fought each other in tough fights, and for me he waited too long to fight Mosley also. It may not all be his fault, but it will surely reflect badly on his legacy overall.
I don't think people in boxing are looking for a fighter to beat Mayweather, they just want to see Mayweather fight the best guys, and fight the best fights for the public, I think Pacquiao has done this better than Mayweather...simple as that. I think the problem with boxing today is something Manny Steward touched on recently, someone in Floyd's position does not need to fight the most dangerous guy at a particular time, when he can fight a less dangerous guy for $20-30 million. He took more risks pre-gatti, pre-de la hoya, because he was not in such a priviliged position, fair play to him, he is the one risking his neck, but then he should not be going on radio shows compaining when people criticise him.

It's funny how all of Mayweather's potential foes are "vanquished" by other fighters.... oh that's right, you have to actually fight the guy to "vanquish" him, this is just testimony to the fact Floyd takes so much time off and fights so very little that nobody gets a shot to take him out, in the meanwhile they take each other out.

Wow. This is quite possibly the most ridiculous argument and logic (or lack there of) that I've ever read. Based on your argument, Floyd might as well not fight anybody since he's already beaten every other boxer that has ever lost (regardless of oppnent), without ever having faced them. Nice!

I can tell you this, Had Marquez not taken the extra cash for Floyd not making weight you wouldnt be saying this ****, Floyd would have been weak from having to come down the extra couple pounds at the scales.
Yes Manny does have losses so what? whens the last time Floyd fought and un defeated fighter? Ricky Hatton? you cant really say that Collazo beat his ass to.
I understand the majority of you floyalist really really wanna have Floyds babys, However the same people talking **** today didnt give Marquez a chance going into the fight.
Obviously Marquez had a better camp for this fight than for the Mayweather fight, and I believe had he had this kind of camp and came in at 142 instead of 145, and had Floyd actually honored the weight agreement, it would have been a different fight, Floyd would have won still but it sure would not have been the fight we saw.
I had Marquez to win but not for the same Flomo logic your using, I believe its always comming down to styles and dynamics between these two.
Your right welter is at 147 check out the big brain on Floyd wannabe Money....
However when you sign a contract at a catch weight you ****ing honor that catch weight and show your a man of your word... Floyd didn't do that and though I don't agree with catch weights Manny has always made the weight that he agreed to in the contract.
Floyd blatantly failed to make the weight cus he wanted that advantage he wanted to use that fight with that advantage as a bargaining chip going into the Manny fight and it worked for the flomos......
Bottom line is, and this is real had Floyd come in at 145 I dont think he would have performed the same that weight loss would have played factor in that fight....
Hahahaahaha you Pacquiao fans make me laugh. Ifs and buts Mayweather dominated Marquez, Pacquiao had to get three contrversial decisions against him. THATS WHAT WE DO KNOW. Good day!
Oh and btw Mayweather did come over the weight limit, however he beat Marquez using pure boxng ability. There wasnt even a handful of clinches and neither boxer imposed themselves on the other using their physical strength. So there goes another of your arguments.
Any more to come? Id be glad to open up your eyes son.
