Pretty sure he has an incredible business and marketing acumen to turn UFC to what it is today in a very short amount of time.
He has a highly skilled team of trained businessmen who are behind him yes. If you weren't aware, he was strongly against the reality show which propelled mma into the public eye. He wanted to opt for a traditional boxing format whereby they air a few small fights a few times a month. I will give him alot of credit for convincing his millionaire best friends to buy the UFC and allow him to run it though. Now he is the most popular fighter in the UFC.:boxing:
He also takes credit for coming up with the show too. Genius.
I think both will do well if MMA is on a different time slot, 6PM to 9PM, for example. What better way to complete the PPV celebration night than ending it with the main Mayweather/Pac event? Fact that it's scheduled on the same day makes it even easier to pin on your calendar.
UFC starts at 7pm Pacific now...they only did the 6pm starts for a few cards
How do you think PPV #s would be for both????
GSP and Silva will never fight. Pipe dream at most, but Silva is clearly a much bigger guy than GSP. GSP fights at 170 with Silva fighting at 185 but has fought at 205 with no problems. I think Jon Jones vs Anderson Silva is a little more realistic, and if that went head to head, UFC wouldnt have a chance. But with that being said, even Dana would know his business would be bad that night considering even MMA fighters / fans would be looking fwd to Mayweather vs Pac.

GSP and Anderson Silva would skip their fight to go watch Mayweather-Pacquiao.
They're both big fans of Pac and the Wild Card Gym.
I suspect most of the UFC fighters wouldn't show up to the UFC event.
Nothing UFC can offer nowadays will ever be more anticipated than a Pac-May match up. Dana isn't stupid enough to overlap them.
Well May vs Pac would be by far...far far..... bigger
But, that would be amazing for MMA
If 1 was on, then the other a hour or so later....i think i wld jizz
That real zaniness is that you speak as if Pacquiao Mayweather is actually happening lol
Also, Dana ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he isn't stupid enough to put that fight head to head against boxing's projected biggest fight in history, in fact, Dana White would probably be there live.

1st. Dana would NEVER put that card on the same night, that would be very very dumb.
2nd. Dana would be @ the fight.
3rd. The whole world is going to watch Pac-May, boxing fan or not.
It can't. Pac/Floyd would absolutely destroy Silva/GSP. Even the die hard MMA fans say that the only boxing match they'd watch is Pac/Floyd. Would the most die hard boxing fans say that about Silva/GSP?
i dont think they have as much crossover fans as people think. but at the same time Pac/May is too historic even for some haters to miss out on. i'd say UFC still does 400k buys.
