I'll start with a few things i've learned on Pacquiao from recently reading his autobiography.
did you know;
Pacquiao got his fighting heart and quickness from watching roosters fight..
Pacquiao got his strong legs and calves from living on a mountain when he was very young and having to walk up and down to get water/food
Pacquiao actually hates getting hit, but says to make entertainment for fans he allows openings when attacking..
Pacquiao only felt he became a balanced fighter during the de la hoya fight
any more did you knows? I'll be back with some on some other fighters..
bro its all about the breeding and training of the game cocks, plus anyone will show weakness when your cut and hit on vital spots ....
to contribute to the thread did you know that "game cocks" also do sparring?
Maybe game cocks fight to kill but the regular farm rooster don't. It's incredible watching them fight because they are so similar to boxers. They just watch each other with amazing concentration waiting for the other to make a mistake then pounce.
They certainly do when it's an arranged fight with betting. They are equipped with steel spurs over their normal ones.
They used to, anyway. Believe cockfighting is illegal in the US these days, like dog fighting, and generally pitting any animal against another, because they try to kill each other.
Rooster dont ever kill each other fighting.

did you know the longest boxing match was the following:
The date: April 6 1893.
The time: 9:00 PM.
Andy Bowen and Jack Burke are set to fight in New Orleans.
The rules: Fight to the finish.
The prize: $2,500.00 USD.
The result: After 7 hours and 19 minutes spanning 110 round the boxers are to pooped to punch and the match is declared 'no contest' which was later changed to a draw.
its seldom for me to talk to an American (sorry if I presumed incorrectly) knowledgeable in game cocks, I know its only a small community their in America but have all class "A" breeds, training and fighting...
No biggy. But I'm from the USVI. Cockfighting is legal & a part of our culture. There are quite a few older gentlemen in my family that fight them for a living. I have actually train & prepped a few myself for fighting. But in the Carribean, we don't use razor blades, we use artificial spurs, on both legs. I know of a few instances where people stateside put the blades on the right leg of their fowl, when the poor cock cut with it's left leg.
Yea, I heard he knocked out a horse with 1 punch and thats why they call him 'hands of steel'. Highly doubt its true though
Also, I think it was Duran, who said the best fight he's ever had was a 5-6 hour street fight.
I thought he was called "hands of stones" (manos de piedras)
Once in a while Pacquiao imitates a rooster ready for a fight when he scratches or kicks back with his feet in his corner.
lolz I did not notice that, but Roy Jones got Pacquiao beat in imitating rooster ready to fight ....
Yes, I know they put "boots" on game cocks to spar without hurting each other. I know that anyone will show weakness when hurt, that's why I pointed that out. I'm actually VERY educated on gamecocks, breeding & training & fighting.

Haha. Right. That's what it is.

Did you know Brendan Ingle spotted Prince Naseem Hamed's talent for boxing when he saw him dodging shots from a bully in a school playground when he was 8 years old?
Fair enough, I know these stories fly about. I once heard Duran knocked out a bull or a horse. Don't know if thats true.

Actually game cocks do indeed fight to the death. But contrary to what the ts said, they do slow down & show weakness when hurt, they just fight through it. Hell some game cocks just stand there when hurt & die instead of running, blind & all.
