Marquez looks big and strong, still good combination puncher, good uppercut, got nailed with a few rights, i say it would be a comepetitive few rounds but Pac finally puting JMM down for good...
Do you believe he had a Manny Pacquiao replica for sparring partners for their last 2 fights that he isn't utilizing now (even though he's receiving a higher purse than the first 2 fights combined)?
Nacho doesn't seem as if he's big on importing foreign sparring partners, so I doubt the preparation is different from the past figths against Pacquiao. JMM talked about the amount of rounds in sparring not mattering because he already knows his opponent. He'll adjust to the speed and style on the fly.
JMM looks stronger, but is definitely looking slower at the higher weight. If his speed isn't improving beyond what it's at, he's going to be at a huge disadvantage.
Yes, i do believe he did. I also believe even if they weren't direct replicas they were faster and threw more than what we are seeing now. I believe he sparred with smaller men, therefore everything was faster, etc during sparring. Why do I believe this? the smaller weight class.
I believe he has these "bigger" men now to get accustomed to the power and now strength advantage pacman will have against him and is greatly underestimating the need to train for the other things as well.
I'll even argue that your point about his preparation prior to the previous pac fights are the reasons for the slow starts and early KD's in pacmans favor. He's forced to adjust to things he didn't see at all during camp.
Just saw these pics a few minutes ago.

Sparring is sparring and fighting is fighting. Two different things. But of course, good sparring helps a fighter preform.
The sparring partner Marquez has is quite larger. And not very fast either. Marquez needs to be able to hit the same gears as Pacquiao in terms of pace.
Tall sparring partners
Slow Sparring Partners
Low Output from Sparring partners
No bouncing from sparring partners
No angles from sparring partners
His sparring is terrible.. other than being southpaw they have NO similarities to pacman what so ever.. awesome preperation
You broke it down perfectly. His sparring spartners are taking it easy on him and STILL landing a lot of shots. Pacquiao is not slow, he'llput combinations together that Marquez hasn't seen since the last fight they had, and Pacquiao hits harder than these guys. I thought this fight would be somewhat competitive but now I know it won't. If Marquez hears the final bell I'd be impressed.
It's damn scary how he is utilizing his weight to bully now. If he imposes that body on Pacquiao there will be a lot of blood from both sides. I can't wait for this fight.. 24/7 this saturday baby!!!!
i hope you don't think marquez was the guy in the red because i didnt see marquez bully any1 he was on the ropes the whole time. dont try to make the fight more than what it is
Marquez, maybe, but I'm not too sure about Pacquiao, is it just me or does he look a bit drained at the weigh in for the 2nd JMM fight?
I remember hearing that Pac had a hard time making 130 for his last 2 fights there (JMM 2 and Barrera 2). I wouldn't be surprised, he has probably been a true light welterweight for a while now, but still barely able to make 130 (at the time).
Then he went up to 135 and put on a sick performance against David Diaz, even though Diaz is a much lesser opponent than JMM. He looked "refreshed/rejuvenated".

pac was drained...and still won lol!
But Marquez has markedly regressed, plus has added weight, compared to the second fight, where he and Pacquiao were about as good as they could possibly be that night. Even if Pacquiao is no better than the second fight, which I think he is clearly better, Marquez simply won't be able to repeat that performance.
If he does, it says a lot about Manny Pacquiao.

I like Marquez but he is just way too slow at that weight.
Pacquiao is a monster at 144-147.
I hate to say it but............Pacquiao will Ko Marquez in 5 rounds

Does arum pay you to hype this fight?
It's really frustrating when these so-called 'great' trainers have their fighters sparring guys that have basically nothing in common with their opponent. This guy is slow, plodding, telegraphs his shots, no head movement... basically a waste of Marquez' time.
