Yea, Mosley did "very well".
Getting shut out on two cards and winning a single round on the last, is now considered "doing well".
You clowns never cease to amaze me.
I guess Mosley did extremely well and almost beat Floyd according to your standard.
how did the Mosley who gased out after 3 against Floyd manage to run for 12 rounds from Manny? and with a blister?
fear, man....
the answer is fear....
shane did well vs floyd... more than shane did vs pac....
the thread need not be expanded how floyd or pac did vs shane....
vs floyd, shane got some big moments, vs pac shane was reduced to a runner...

But he didn't, which was the central issue of this thread. The fight was in no way, shape, or form competitive. Shane did not 'expose' Manny to anything except raw cowardice in the ring (nice change from the usual out of the ring avoidance I guess). 66 total punches landed, a knockdown, lost every single round, cried in the corner for a stoppage.
This thread has run it's course. Have a great evening.

My point IS of course it wasn't competitive Manny was in there with an old man. Dominating an old man is nothing to brag about.
So what? The man was pushing 40 and coming and a draw. If he made the fight competitive it would've said more about Manny than Mosley. He also went into survival mode against Mayweather a year earlier. Come on son, you can do better than that ;)

That's nice. He didn't do very well against Manny though. Landed only 66 punches, got knocked down, went into survival mode, and quit in his corner before being pep talked by his trainer.
Take it easy champ.

Dude Mosley was shot and everybody knows it thats why the fight was setup when it was and not in 2009 when Mosley still looked good. Fact: Mosley was coming off a loss and a draw to a journeyman, you can't discount that. They were even considering stopping the Mayweather fight. Mosley was done.

I think its the fact that Mosley s=showed that Manny still has trouble cutting off the ring. That doesn't translate into Mosley doing well in the fight. You can't deny that Manny still struggles with movement. If Mosley had actually thrown punches he would've done some serious damage to Manny but Mosley was obviously shot.
No, Mosley was obviously scared out of his wits and had no interest in throwing punches or doing anything that resembled fighting.
Any one can look less than stellar when your opponent is literally running away from you. People acting like Mosley put on a boxing exhibition and was countering Manny :lol1:
The man admitted he was scared and was just trying to survive and he was hit so hard he lost track of about 3 rounds. He was completely dominated and shell shocked.
Just a small reminder of what was really going on that night:
Lookin real good out there homie :boxing:
:lol1:
Or someone who knows landing 66 TOTAL punches in a fight is not indicative of 'doing very well'.
Take a seat.

only a pactard would use compubox to make an argument

People are actually running with this story now? How is landing 66 total punches (one of the lowest in compubox history for a 12 fight), getting knocked down, admitting to going into survival mode and claiming you traveled through time, and crying in the corner begging your trainer to stop the fight considered 'doing well'? :lol1:
If Mosley 'did very well' against Pacquiao, then Zab absolutely dominated and clowned Floyd. Hey look, here's a video to prove it:
Are yall ninjas serious?

and yes Zab was winning against Mayweather early in the fight

The problem is, surviving with Pac and not doing anything to win is considered doing well.
It's sad that a man is on the back foot barely throwing anything and he did well. The point is to outpunch or KO your opponent and win, not back pedal to losing more or elss 12 rounds.
whats sad is that people could say someone is the greatest fighter yet he can't do things like set traps to open fighters up to land shots instead people make excuses for bad performances by saying it's the opponets fault. someone like shane mosley has never been considered as a defensive wizard.
whats is also sad is how people consider trying to fight a beat down even if punches are barely landing
Pac has slowed down as he went up. I can see this by watching him do his shadow boxing fast as he can from 126 to now.
As for strength, of course you can gain strength as you gain weight. It depends on what mass you gained. If you mean power, he hasn;t knocked out MOSELY, MARG, AND CLOTTEY, AND DIDN'T DROP OSCAR.
Energy, well Pac looks tired mid round in his recent fights to me. Perhaps you're just a flomo and don't watch Pac fight.
Most experts including JMM himself said Pac is more complete. I would rather believe them or use my own eyes than you.
Having a right hand that hurts is a big factor. Blocking one strong hand is a lot easier than two. nOW WITH ANGLES, WHICH NOT MANY BOXERS CAN DO SO freely is another matter.
Sadly flomo, you have no clue.
The bolded is the single most dumbest argument in the thread.

would have looked stupid as hell had the judges scored half the fight 10-10 even Probably never get to judge a fight again
