Featherweight 125 lb limit
Get rid of all the smaller weight classes and force them to fight at 125. This would create an extremely loaded, competitive division and I doubt stars like Donaire would have trouble adjusting. Maybe even lower it to 120...
Lightweight 135 lb limit
Not much change here, division will get deeper with the elimination of superfeather.
Welterweight 150 lb limit
Amir Khan, Bradley, Floyd, Pacquiao...guys like JCC and Canelo would have to move down.
Middleweight 168 lb limit 168 has been the most entertaining of the mid divisions last two decades: RJJ/Zagz/Super6. Make it the new middleweight and have guys like BHOP and Pascal come back down.
Light Heavyweight 190 lb limitMarciano and Dempsey were about 190 in their prime. This would probably be the most exciting of the new weight classes. Fast guys with power.
Heavyweight 230 lb limit Basically a free for all from 190-230 just like always. The limits protects idiots like Adamek and Mormeck from getting cherry picked by dinosaurs twice their size. Motivates fat asses like Arreola to stay below a certain weight.
SuperHeavyweight 230+ Unlimited This would be the Emanuel Steward division. He ushered in the first SHW with Lennox Lewis, continued with Klitschko and will train Tyson Fury in the future. The big guys like Helinius, Deontay Wilder, Dimentrenko, Valuev would all be forced to fight each other.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This system would get rid of 10 weight classes and 80 useless belts. Improve overall competition. How would you guys change things?
And get rid of the day before weigh-ins. If you can't make the weight limit legitimately you have no business fighting in the division.

good point...but why do you put your name at the end of every post? :gay:
Nah, I would simply go back to the original 8. I don't mind the idea of two titles per division, though obviously one would be better.
I would be very happy if they brought back divisions thusly:
Flyweight
Bantamweight
Featherweight
Lightweight
Welterweight
Middleweight
Lightheavyweight
Heavyweight
Superheavyweight-This is the one division I would add. I would have heavyweight from 175 to 220 and SHW above that.
I don't agree at all that all small fighters should just have to fight up to 126. That's absurd. Great Flyweights and bantamweights that could be amazing fighters struggle to get title shots just because the best at featherweight would be too big.
Bantamweights are historically one of the very greatest divisions in terms of depth of talent and skill. Amazing division as was Flyweight.
One or two titles per weight (back to WBC and WBA), get rid of all but nine divisions with only SHW being added and it would be brilliant.
Only problem is that it will never, ever, in a million years happen. It'll only get worse and worse and worse. More divisions will get added, more titles will come up, more sanctioning bodies, more promoters, more slimebags, more corrupt cunts....boxing is a ****eful sport full of creeps for the most part. The great part of it is nearly all gone. We're just hanging on by a thread.
It works for MMA. Barley ever any catch weight fights.
I think 115-122 divisions are pointless. But forcing the real little guys(112 and lower) to fight at 126 isnt fair. Boxing is the one sport that allows guys of all size to participate.
The rest of the original post is stupid....
It's kind of like the UFC
The UFC currently uses seven weight classes:
Weight class name - Upper limit (lb-kg)
Bantamweight - 135 - 61.2
Featherweight - 145 - 65.8
Lightweight - 155 - 70.3
Welterweight - 170 - 77.1
Middleweight - 185 - 83.9
Light Heavyweight - 205 - 93.0
Heavyweight - 265 - 120.2
Non-title fights have a one pound leniency. In addition, there are two other weight classes specified in the Unified Rules which the UFC does not currently use:
Flyweight: up to 125 lb (56.7 kg); expected to be added to UFC in 2012
Super Heavyweight: no weight limits
