I gotta say I owuldn't mind. I would like it to be quick, in order to get it over with for other fights to take place. But, since it would be to unify titles, Berto is still in his prime, and one of the top WW in the world, I wouldn't really mind if Mayweather or Pacquiao fought Berto. It would be a pretty decent win on either's resume. Nothing great or spectacular, but decent and another title.
IMO Mayweather fighting anyone but another title holder would be a mistake.
What Mayweather should do is unify the WW division. If PBF held all the belts, all debates would end. They could call Pacquiao the Grand Exalted Sh!t Kicker of the Universe, and it wouldn't mean a damn thing.
Floyd needs to fight Berto and the WBA champion. How many other current fighters are winning every championship in a division?
Those are the two fights Floyd should be taking.
I'd like to see Floyd fight Martinez at 154, but I just don't know if that will happen. We know Manny won't fight Martinez (he already backed off the 150 lb thing that he requested and than Sergio agreed), and I just don't know if Floyd will take that fight at 154. If not Martinez or Pac next Spring, it may be Berto or Khan. I'd like to see Khan win a title at WW to bring into the fight with Mayweather. Maybe if Brook were to fight and Senchenko to win the WBA belt, and than have Brook and Khan fight in the summer for the WBA WW title, and have Mayweather fight the winner. So...maybe just maybe...by late 2012, Mayweather would have the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles, while Pac would have the WBO title. RING could make it for their vacant title as well...it would be massive. But, we all know that fight won't happen until we get a clear choice from Pac and his camp about drug testing. We got Koncz saying NO, Ariza initially saying NO but than coming back and saying "Manny never disagreed to blood testing" (???), Arum saying it's all been worked out, Pac saying he fights who Arum puts in front of him.....
There should be a Max Kellerman face off between Floyd and Manny, so we can finally hear Manny say he is agreeing to the drug testing up until fight day and than have them sign the contract RIGHT ON TV. That's really the only way to get that s**t on.
how does floyds dikk feel homie, let your boyfreind horus know and then ill know, lol, you are a idiot when you behave like floyd fought murderors row, now go fukk yourself homie and get off floyds testicles, lol, nyahahahaha
Hahaha Shhhh*t homie, fukk off homie, hahahah homie!
What the hell??? Are you some sort of internet tough guy??? Mayweather is my favorite current boxer, but I also like Ward, Gamboa, Brook, etc. I was just saying that Manny has fought guys coming off losses, while Floyd really hasn't. Also, the question was "Would you be mad if either of them fought Berto in 2012?"....instead of answering the question, you trashed Floyd, and than continued with your homie shizzel my nizzel rant on a boxing forum. With all due respect, you got some issues "homie".
Yes, I'll be mad, its a step backwards for Pacquiao to take on a guy who lost to Ortiz.
For Mayweather, collecting WBC and IBF belts again, he already won those two titles back in 2006 against Judah and Baldomir.
Not mad, but I wouldn't be thrilled either. Easy win for both of them, but then again, everybody at WW is an easy win for both of them. Unless they're fighting each other. Berto isn't worse then anyone else, plus he has a belt.

Actually....Manny is more inclined to do such a thing. De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez at 144...do I need to go on??? Okay I will...Morales 1 & 2 and Barrera 2 as well....ALL coming off losses and crap performances.
Wow, I feel sorry for you. That's one thing you can't say about Mayweather...he does fight these guys coming off wins and not losses, usually. Zab Judah is the only high profile fight I can remember Floyd taking when a guy had not looked that good prior or won prior to fighting him.
G. Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, C. Hernandez, Chavez, N'dou, Gatti, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Mosley, Ortiz....ALL coming off wins.

berto?!! i don't think the new conte backed berto even beats ortiz in a rematch.... he looked pretty much the same to me against zaveck. still lacking the stamina to go full 12 against a world class guy. he would gas after an initial assault, and ortiz would catch those late rounds for another ud.
He is really no match for either guy but if he wins a fight or two next year to really solidify his position as the next guy in line, so be it I guess.
Neither fight would really be compelling from a competitive standpoint I reckon, but fighters fight so I couldn't really fault either guy for doing their job against a "top" guy.
I could certainly understand having an issue with it but I usually don't really get hung up on that sort of thing I just watch whatever fights that get put on and see if my thoughts on them are right or wrong.
no. why? because Pacquiao aired the division out and left it really shallow.
there's really no one else to fight. Kell Brook or Mike Jones ain't ready for a fight of that magnitude.. Ortiz ****ed himself out of any other potential big fights. Mosley's lost to both already... and quite honestly, I don't really know who the eff the other guys on The Ring's welterweight rankings are!
The only other option they have at welterweight besides fighting Berto is fighting each other.. otherwise, they'd have to look up to jr. middle and middleweight for formidable opponents.
he has a belt so i can see why either guy would pick him if they don't fight each other. khan, bradley, and berto are all the same level of opposition for pac or may imo
i expect floyd to, lol, he will fight a fighter who got exposed and he will once again claim hes a god at boxing while his fans treat this win as the biggest win of floyds allegedly underated career, lol, floyd will gladly fight berto after his next retirement and vacation , lol, nyahahaha
