Pac never had any intention of going to 147. The plan for him was to unify the lightweight belts against juan diaz then the 3rd marquez fight. The rivalry was oscar and floyd at the time. They had fought to a split dec and while floyd fought hatton oscar fought stevie forbes to prepare for a 2nd fight. A move that threatened floyd so much that he threatened to fire his uncle if he trained forbes. After both fights were won we were set to go but the announcement that daddy floyd would train oscar for the rematch against his son which drove floyd jr into hiding. So for all the crying and smacktalking floyd does about pac he really could have saved himself alot of trouble by just fighting oscar like he was supposed to.

floyd probably thought he'd be figured out by oscar if they meet the 2nd time inside the ring.
