Was having this debate at work so thought I'd bring it here..I can't find anyway to compare, maybe the collective experience on this forum will know.
To be fair until Mosley cracked him, you can't really say he has taking any real flush shots can you?
What you guys think? He should hold the record for taking the least shots in the history of boxing??
It's hard to tell because defense is all relative in boxing, and considering that Mayweather not only gets out of the way of shots, but he also catches them with his elbows and shoulder.
One thing is true about him though, which is that he's one of the most accurate boxers in compubox history.
this has to be one of the dumbest post ive ever seen on this web site i think im going to just soon erase my account if this all keeps up
You only think it's dumb because he compared Floyd to Pac and made Pac sound better. His point is correct however. Look at David Haye. The guy is scared to get hit and so he doesn't get hit very often. It's a big reason why Haye vs Klitschko was so damn boring. Same with Haye vs Valuev.
i actually think i saw somehwere that statistically vitali has been hit the least of any fighter ever ..which makes no sense to me since hes one big ass target
i woulda hought pernell or roy

Its all relative, in the fact that Flooyd is probably the most scared to get hit fighter in boxing history. When you have that much fear, you will be the type of fighter to get hit less.
If punches bothered Pac as much, he wouldnt have recieved half the punches hes been hit with.

I hope you notice that in you picture, Klitschko's eyebrow was closed and not bleeding, and that the blood came from below his eye, which, although bruised, was not really swollen, even with all the dramatic photo enhancement. and he could see perfectly.
So you tell me why the fight suddenly was stopped with Lewis on the verge of being KO'd.
My entrants are Nicolino Locche from Argentina, record 136-4, named "The Untouchable". He often smoked between rounds and lived a hedonistic life. Don't know how he did it. He was a physical marvel, unique, I'd say.
Another was Young Griffo.
LOL Bombs you are a funny dude! There is truth to what you speak, but you gotta give Floyd his props! I'm TEAM PACSMASH as well, but I recognize that Floyd is a brilliant boxer, especially in regards to defensive wizardry.
That's what makes the fight with Pac so interesting - Pac is as good of an offensive boxer as Floyd is a defensive boxer. . .
read the question dumbo
so yes the answer is obviously he has been hit less. far less than anyone else in boxing. there you go genius.

Pac has tremendous power, but he doesnt have any answers for good defense let alone great defense.
yes gd examples..i remember RJJ is the only fighter not to get hit once in a round?? forgot who he was fighting
yeah vitali klitschko and roy jones come to mind
still, Vitali's face was shredded by Lennox, looking like the terminator. RJJ was knocked out cold twice (Tarver/ Johnson) before getting torn up later by Calzaghe, so both these men have had a good run of not getting hit but Floyd has yet to have a moment where he is damaged or knocked out.
If you're talking about less hits throughout their career, then yes, however thats because the other top defensive guys fought much better opposition and/or fought a lot more fights.
And threw alot more punches.
Whitaker probably got hit more than Mayweather has in his career but Whitaker threw alot more punches than Mayweather does and was incredibley good defensively managing to make better fights miss drastically.
Which is why although he got hit more is a better defensive fighter than Mayweather.

Chop chop corally hit floyd with some flush shots as hell as emanuel burton and zab judah but i think he has taken less punishment than most boxers
he was also nicely swollen after the de la hoya fight
Both Floyd and Roy actually. During the Mosley fight I think it was the 4th or 5th round, Floyd didnt get hit once.
I think he didn't get hit with a power punch in one of the rounds.
But I think he was hit atleast once every round of the Mosley fight.
Atleast according to compubox he was.
He is one of the only people to go a whole round without getting hit with a 'power punch' though.
