He says, he didnt look good at all vs Oliver, that his defense needs work. He also said he pays close attention to what the fans say because they are the ones paying to see him.
He says he and his team have had talks about adding a new trainer!

Gamboa's defense is one of the best among elite fighters when you look at a recent HBO analysis. Actually, they say he's the second best, right after Mayweather. Mayweather gets connected only 16% of the time, and Gamboa is second with only 20%. Donaire isn't fair behind at 21%.
My estimation is that Juanma is somewhere around 86% lol
interesting sir
He loses one fight and now he's not a very good fighter. Smh, fickle ass boxing fans.
That fight with Salido shouldn't have been stopped anyway. He was still fighting back.
He sparks Gamboa when they fight. Remind me when Lopez got dropped by cabdrivers fight after fight. Lopez resume ****s all over Gamboa.
Been saying that for a while now, well before Salido. All you need to do is watch him fight, he's embarrisingly sloppy and one dimensional.
I mean, the kid's just not a very good fighter. He looks lost when he can't hurt someone. And at the highest level, his sloppy punches aren't gonna land on anyone. His right hook is quality, his left hand is one of the poorest punches I have ever seen from a professional fighter, I don't see how anyone can get hit with it.
He's got heart, he's got a chin(him being hurt so many times is more a result of him getting hit so clean over and over), but I just don't think he has the overall skillset to be a top guy.
Last time he looked half way decent was against Luevano and he just had zero fire power for Lopez to have to respect.
He is so offensive minded that he desregards defense thinking that his power will always will bail him out.
He shouldn't contemplate but get a secondary trainer that can teach him subtle defensive mixed with his offense.
but the lack of defense of gamboa and lopez is what makes this fight interesting...someones going to sleep

Yeah Lopez...
Thats why he needs to tighten shiit up, Gamboa holds a shot a bit better i feel and gets hit Way less
Lopez cant go on with this swing for the fences and kill or be killed shiit, his career will NOT last at this rate
hey i like the kid,i think he'll be ok..he has a bright future you see he realizes his flaws and is open to fix them.i can appreciate that

At least he's finally admitted something's wrong. Like they say, the first step toward recovery is admitting that there's a problem....
Very True. Hopefully they find someone good to help him be more defensive. If they don't, Salido will beat him again.

Considering all the punches he's already taken, ain't it too late? I've always liked Juanma's machismo, but I think the damage has already been done. I'd probably take a year off personally.
You just can't be eating shots like that.
