I believe he is. He has incredible talent that has mostly been wasted on subpar opposition while the best opposition has has repeatedly called Floyd out and been ignored and fought each other instead. He spends more time in the courtroom than he does in the ring. He curses the elderly, beats women, doesnt pay his taxes, runs with lowlife scum, is involved with trash that shoot at people in nightclubs, and thinks he is far greater than he ever was. Now I know his fans are going to accuse me of "hating", but let me make this clear. It is like the chicken or the egg. I dont make accusations about people because I dont like them, I was led by Floyd himself to dislike him because of his actions. I didnt always dislike Floyd, but he has proved that he will never grow up, never stop acting like a punk, never step up to the biggest challenges for the challenge itself, it is only about money, he has no class, the only thing he does have is incredible natural abilitly that he has mostly wasted. Flame all you want.
History will show that Floyd will fall short of the likes of ali or leonard. He simply hasn't fought enough of the best of his era in their prime like a truely great champion.
No, times have changed. Social media has given everyone a voice.(Even idiots like the TC)
The only problem is that when there is no education barrier for social media, the frequencies(radio,tv,internet,) get clogged with mouth-breathers who sit behind their TV,cpu, cell phone, etc and fill them with their own ignorant thoughts, opinions, expressions.
This has also made it times easier for someone who know aboslutely nothing about a given sport or subject to pass thier thought own as well thought/referenced/experienced findings.
Example, theres more people who believe that Floyd is a low life criminal who has bluffed his whole career by fighting fighters who were either old/past prime/tailor made and actually has little or no skills....
Than there are people who have anything close to an opinion on whether or not this country has suppressed alternative fuel solutions to keep the country dependent on oil/fossil fuels.
Food for thought.
yup thats true also with electronic social media exposing what and who floyd mayweather is, a douche bag, passing his inner thoughts on letting other people know how racist he is, how moronic, how stupid although i must admit he is entertaining with all the idiotic actions he does and contradictory words he utters which convinced more people to believe he is a lowlife criminal.
HAHA yes, he is! I mean Carlos Monzon only viciously beat his multiple wifes and threw one of them out a window. Jake Lamotta only married a 15 year old girl who he beat regularly and raped once.
SRR only cheated on his wife a million times and ripped combinations on her face, viciously beat his kids. Even knocked them out in different occasions.
Edwin Valero killed his pregnant wife.
James Butler sucker punched a guy after the fight was over,
brutally slaughter his best friend with a hammer.
Yes, Floyd is the biggest piece of shiet boxing has ever had.
Exactly, you've summed this up nicely. There are many more examples.
Floyd did nothing wrong in knocking Ortiz out. It was actually the fault of Ortiz that it happened.
When I turned pro this is how I was taught. If the bell rings and a fighter sticks out his glove to touch, for whatever reason, I'd take advantage of it and get my shots in immediately.
The first time I sparred, after announcing my intentions of turning pro, I had a guy stick his glove out to touch at the beginning of the round. I put my glove out to touch his and he sank a right hand right into my nose. I never made that mistake again. When the bell rings it's time to fight, not be a gentleman.
Floyd did nothing wrong. As a matter of fact he handled the situation perfectly.
The ref called them to fight and Ortiz wanted to hug. What if Ortiz actually suckered Floyd in and threw punches instead of hugging. Mayweather would have been caught with his hands down. In the heat of battle Floyd did as any veteran fighter would have done, he fought.....Rockin':boxing:
exactly.....fighters often throw a punch when the other moves in for an embrace or to touch gloves. It's just like Donaire said, you don't have to accept the apology. Maidana tried to crack Ortiz in their fight when Ortiz was doing his apologetic bull****.....where was the uproar there, or the thousands of other times this happens? Or does it only matter because in this case it ended in a KO, and it happened to be Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Floyd is a pansy compared to some of boxing's past greats if you're talking about his life outside of the ring. This sport has been around for over 100 years you know? Hell the great SSR's antics make Floyd look a choir boy. The people who harp on about this crap,
1. Don't know the history of this sport and the fighters who have fought in it and their backgrounds and personal lives.
2. Just don't like Floyd and will take any excuse......like the hundreds of silly fags on this forum who call a fight fixed or say the other fighter was winning before some imaginary slight occurred.
To answer your question, it's an emphatic NO!!!....and he's not even close.

They are along with the hernandez and Manfredies competent boxers. But JMM was bloated, hatton was cheated by cortez and SSM was old, so they only qualify as competent boxers floyd beat on the night.
He should have fought hatton at 140 and Cotto when cotto was the man.
you are aware that both Hatton and Cotto's team publicly admitted that they were no ready for a Mayweather fight and considered fighting him "moving forward." Hatton stated that he wanted to develop a larger US fan base while Cotto's managers and promoters thought he was too green. This is all public and fact. Check it out.
You forgot Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, ODLH, Hatton, Mosley, JMM and a few others.

Talent unfulfilled. He did well to make a name for himself by beating the hernandezs and Angel Manfredys of this world. competent boxers. But time has moved on and there are bigger challenges than those guys available and he didnt take them mostly.
How about the countless boxers who have been convicted of murder, rape and robbery?
This thread is beyond stupid.
Countless? Depends on your level of education. I guess you're average 1st grader can count to 100 cant he.
started watching boxing pretty recently, did we?
It depends on your perspective. I started watching boxing in 1994. Please note, the title of the thread was in the form of a question. Learned to read pretty recently, did we?
Ok so Floyd is just one of the five biggest peices of crap in the history of boxing.
