Pacquiao has far more movement than Victor "the kissing quitter" Ortiz. He's an easy target, Pacquiao is not.
Manny can also power that straight left in, which Victor was doing with success.
ORTIZ = B level fighter at best
PAC = ATG
How the hell is these fools saying PBF is going to school Pac like he's Ortiz or anywhere near the same respect? You m*fckers are crazy.
This fight showed me nothing but Floyd can be hit and with more punch output, precision and angles. It's going to be a much more interesting fight than someone with no chance.
He also fought like he didn't have any resolve. He also seemed nonchalant about losing his belt. Quick to note about a rematch with Ortiz so a FIXED fight doesn't tell me sh*t!!
the same way people thought ortiz was gonna beat and knockout floyd from what he did to berto.
No.
Pac is on another level than Ortiz.
Ortiz struggled with Berto and was stopped by his daddy Maidana.
Pac would've KO'd Berto and made short work of Maidana.
If Floyd starts to trade with Pac he's going to get speed and power he's never experienced before. Last night just showed me that a slow slugger like Ortiz can land flush straight lefts on Floyd. It proves that Floyd is not some untouchable target.
Put a southpaw with speed and angles in there and Floyd is gonna get tagged up much more than he's used to. I'm just keeping it real.
Real talk.
Why can't more fans just admit it, and not have to act like a bunch of bitches sticking up for their "boyfriend" about it?
It'd be a hell of a fight. I'd favor Floyd, but Manny would bring the heat like he always does.
Anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional.
I'd green you, but I ran out blasting fools who said Floyd's KO was illegal with the red drink.
Floyds ko was illegal!
now hit me with some of that sangria boy!
watching the fight in the theater i watched it in was pure mayhem, i remember the first thing out of my mouth was "wtf was ortiz thinking not getting his hands up?"
i remembered instantly echols vs hopkins where he did about the exact same thing, it was ok though, fukk echols. Ortiz not getting up was also a little suprising to me, floyd clearly stuck his ass.
no but he will land some. floyd will eat pac's left more than pac will eat floyd's right. the diffrence is the output.
Are you trying to say that Manny can outland more punches on Floyd? The only Boxer to ever outlanded Floyd in a fight was, Jose Luis Castillo. Manny has been outlanded three times in his career(And i being generous here), JMM I-JMM II, and Erik Morales I. None of these guys was sharp as Floyd is now. Manny is way better than Jose Luis Castillo ever was, but can Manny fight as tall and use his size advantage as Jose did effectively against Floyd?
Yes he would get hit often..but it would be a competitive fight with may winning a decision..mayweather to good technically for pacman..but if they can't come together on something we will never know..they both need to just make the fight already and to those says may scared that is just dumb people come on..you really think mayweather scared?
Not without giving 2.
Pacquiao is just that fast. I underestimated it before but after seeing that fight. I am sure Pacquiao will deliver much punishment even if he gets hit a few times with that right hand.
You don't know sh*t about boxing. Come November when you witness Marquez hit Pac with right hands over and over and counter at ease...I hope the vision becomes clearer for you about what your boy would endure. I'm done on this subject until Pac fights Marquez.
Manny's offence is A+ but his defense is a B- at best.. Plenty openings for Floyd..
Honestly I don't think it'll be an equal fight if Floyd fights with his A-game.. Floyd was even the aggresser in the Ortiz fight and who expected that?
I did, actually.
Mayweather doesn't get nearly enough credit for fighting guys in the pocket. People look at certain performances of his over the years where he was clearly playing the role of the counterpuncher, and they say "Floyd's a counterpuncher".
Yeah, he is. But he can also be very aggressive when he wants to, he's the best in the sport at fighting in the pocket, and when he's got a guy infront of him that he's looking to finish off, he can be a beast.
Granted Manny's defense isn't on par with Mayweather's, but that doesn't change my opinion on that fight as a whole one bit.
Mayweather would be less offensive with a guy like Pacquiao than he was with Ortiz, and Pacquiao would be less aggressive with a guy like Floyd than he was with guys like Clottey or Marquez.
Floyd murks him, though. And in the pocket, too. I've been saying it for years on here but nobody wants to listen. And you know I'm not a Mayweather hugger, either. I've only ever gone to bat for the dude since this Ortiz "scandal".
Anyone who doesn't think so doesn't know sh*t about boxing. What will be the first glaring realization is how much smaller Manny will be in the ring with Floyd. Floyd's ability to fight at a range and pace that he wants to fight at will make a fight with Pac easy. You saw how everytime Ortiz thought about mounting an attack, Floyd shot a right hand and forced Ortiz to reset. The fact that Manny fights according to Roach's gameplan, he will be a victim like everyone else of being in the ring frustrated because Floyd is neutralizing their gameplan and they're just stuck out there without a clue of what to do next. And don't let me get started on how Floyd will force Manny to fight going backwards like he did a middleweight last night. This fight with Pac is an easy win for Floyd and Manny, Roach, and Arum know. I wonder how Roach will spin the guy responsible for giving Manny the best give and take sparring session who just got completely white washed by Floyd into a negative. Or maybe they will ignore what Floyd did ala the Marquez fight and pretend like the writing of what Pac would endure isn't on the wall.
no he wouldn't, when anyone lands on Pac he responds with a ridiculous lightning fast combo, Floyd couldn't avoid that, he knows this and that's why the fight hasn't happened.
Again, that's when his opponents punches him without moving out. JMM's miscalculated mistakes was when he closed the gap after he countered Manny and continuously tried to threw punches which caused him to be off balance, but Manny is great at fighting in close reach range, and he can retaliate quickly if you don't punch and move out. Last night showed me that Floyd can still punch and move out even though he came forward for the most part of the short fight.
yeah, and I actually think Khan is that fast too, FMJ doesn't beat either imo.
Khan's fast as hell, but he's way too chinny and inexperienced to beat Floyd.
Not without giving 2.

yep...............but he'd do a hell of a lot better than Ortiz

Maybe. Manny is still a way more complete Boxer than Ortiz. But he(Manny) does have the same rhythm of resetting his offense whenever he misses. Manny still has better movement, speed, and power than Ortiz, but he's just as prone to the right hands as Ortiz is.
