Ortiz is a fast accurate puncher and he was landing under 20% in danger or punching himself out. Nothing honorable about a blatant headbutt, so the honor of men was thrown outta the window when Ortiz decided to pull that stunt.

Sportsmanship does not win fights, why do you people constantly hammer him for "sportsmanship" when once you accept the fact that the combo was legal it is completely irrelevant? Okay, fine then. It was completely legal...and Mayweather can go on and defeat Pacquiao. There, I said it... I was trying to convey that it was legal, but if you were to say "It was unsportsmanlike"...you'd be hard-pressed to develop a counter-point to that statement. I'm not knocking Floyd, he was perfectly within his rights to do that...he won, I'm happy, would've liked for it to go on longer, but hey...Ortiz got clipped.

That's what I find comical, from all these BOXING PURISTS who keep speaking on SPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT, yet totally dismiss Ortiz for his actions because he seemed genuine with his apologetic actions after that pathetic foul. BoxingScene at it's finest! I am a boxing purist, and I am the first to say Floyd gave a superb display of why is is uncontended as the greatest fighter today. Haters will always find a reason to degrade Floyd, but no matter how you cut it, 42-0 is still there in your face. The combo was absolutely legal, check out the interviews with Joe Cortez. protect yourself at all times is boxing 101, FFS Ortiz was losing his mind because he couldn't touch Mayweather, the headbutt was clear as day, and who sits in the ring apologizing and kissing your opponent in the middle of a fight!? He was getting outclassed and he would have eaten a KO later anyway. I had Floyd in 9. If they tables were turned all the people that are defending Floyd for that move would be screaming that Ortiz sucker punched him and it was bullsh*t. It might have been a "legal" shot but it was still a cheap and dirty shot on Floyd's part. truth right here. and trust me, i wouldn't be supporting victor if he won like that, i wouldn't support anyone who tried or ended up winning like that. but then again, this is floyd we're talking about, guy was never regarded as "classy" to begin with...it what it is, ortiz is dumb for headbutting him, trying to make up and not keeping his hands up.

Say everything last night from the foul to the KO was reversed, and Mayweather, out of frustration, blatantly cracks a cut open on Ortiz' lip with a HEADBUTT, and as Mayweather kept trying to excuse his action with hugs and kisses. If Ortiz would've caught his ass in the same fashion, everyone (haters) would be satisfied, and would feel that he got was he was due for fouling in such manner. Stop being so fukkin biased and a hater. What Mayweather did was LEGAL, what Ortiz did was PATHETIC, and he tried to justify it in the post-fight interview saying that him being pushed back made it look intentional. He kept denying that he lost his cool and attacked Mayweather with a headbutt, and you still want to sympathize for this guy???.. bro, you know how it is. those are the politics of this forum.

A lot of people are upset simply because Mayweather won again. Don't you see that even if that's true, then that makes the reverse of the argument true also? Listen... Mayweather's ability to fight was in NO WAY compromised by the actions of Ortiz. If he had been dazed by the headbutt or even got cut then I'd honestly support what Floyd did 100% because the playing field is no longer level. But neither of the above happened so his reaction was unjustified and unnecessary. He took what could have been an amazing fight away from the fans. You know, the people who gave him $25,000,000+ last night. Them. he was cut in two places, on the left side of his inner lip (huge cut), and on the outside of his lip in the center.
