Say everything last night from the foul to the KO was reversed, and Mayweather, out of frustration, blatantly cracks a cut open on Ortiz' lip with a HEADBUTT, and as Mayweather kept trying to excuse his action with hugs and kisses.
If Ortiz would've caught his ass in the same fashion, everyone (haters) would be satisfied, and would feel that he got was he was due for fouling in such manner. Stop being so fukkin biased and a hater.
What Mayweather did was LEGAL, what Ortiz did was PATHETIC, and he tried to justify it in the post-fight interview saying that him being pushed back made it look intentional. He kept denying that he lost his cool and attacked Mayweather with a headbutt, and you still want to sympathize for this guy???..
Honor of men is above the laws of men.
That said Mayweather was going to punish him. FM was a dangerous man that night and on top of his game. Ortiz is a fast accurate puncher and he was landing under 20% in danger or punching himself out.
Nothing honorable about a blatant headbutt, so the honor of men was thrown outta the window when Ortiz decided to pull that stunt.
Sportsmanship does not win fights, why do you people constantly hammer him for "sportsmanship" when once you accept the fact that the combo was legal it is completely irrelevant?
Okay, fine then. It was completely legal...and Mayweather can go on and defeat Pacquiao. There, I said it...
I was trying to convey that it was legal, but if you were to say "It was unsportsmanlike"...you'd be hard-pressed to develop a counter-point to that statement.
I'm not knocking Floyd, he was perfectly within his rights to do that...he won, I'm happy, would've liked for it to go on longer, but hey...Ortiz got clipped.
Was it LEGAL tho?..
Now the headbutt was cheap and unnecessary...

That's what I find comical, from all these BOXING PURISTS who keep speaking on SPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT, yet totally dismiss Ortiz for his actions because he seemed genuine with his apologetic actions after that pathetic foul.
BoxingScene at it's finest!
I am a boxing purist, and I am the first to say Floyd gave a superb display of why is is uncontended as the greatest fighter today.
Haters will always find a reason to degrade Floyd, but no matter how you cut it, 42-0 is still there in your face.
The combo was absolutely legal, check out the interviews with Joe Cortez.
protect yourself at all times is boxing 101, FFS Ortiz was losing his mind because he couldn't touch Mayweather, the headbutt was clear as day, and who sits in the ring apologizing and kissing your opponent in the middle of a fight!? He was getting outclassed and he would have eaten a KO later anyway. I had Floyd in 9.
But the best part of all is Merchant got exposed as a biased bastard and Pactards are weeping because they now realize who is truly greater.:bottle:
The issue here is that SOME people (who are obviously Floyd haters) are harping more on Floyd's actions but not nearly as much on Ortiz's actions.
I believe Floyd should have been better, but NONE of this happens without Ortiz's intentionally headbutt. His action set the whole thing in motion.

If they tables were turned all the people that are defending Floyd for that move would be screaming that Ortiz sucker punched him and it was bullsh*t. It might have been a "legal" shot but it was still a cheap and dirty shot on Floyd's part.
truth right here. and trust me, i wouldn't be supporting victor if he won like that, i wouldn't support anyone who tried or ended up winning like that. but then again, this is floyd we're talking about, guy was never regarded as "classy" to begin with...it what it is, ortiz is dumb for headbutting him, trying to make up and not keeping his hands up.
Was it LEGAL tho?..

Yes it was legal, and if it was not, Floyd would have been DQ'D just like Roy Jones was. or even the REF would have taken points.

bro, you know how it is. those are the politics of this forum.
Sportsmanship does not win fights, why do you people constantly hammer him for "sportsmanship" when once you accept the fact that the combo was legal it is completely irrelevant?
cause it was cheap. and unnecessary.
Green mother******* K for this! These were my EXACT sentiments when I was talking with my guests at my house right after the KO!
Facebook users and casual fans should look at this OBJECTIVELY.
A lot of people are upset simply because Mayweather won again. They don't care about "Mayweather suckerpunched Ortiz", etc, etc.
HAD IT BEEN MAYWEATHER headbutting Ortiz and then Ortiz suckerpunching and knocking Mayweather out, EVERYBODY (and when I say everybody, I mean Mexican fanboys, and those who always support Mayweather's opponents) would be going ape**** and not be giving a **** about whether it was unsportsmanlike or not. They'd be giddy with glee just to see Mayweather sprawling on the canvas.
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE OBJECTIVE ABOUT THIS...

Are all these people posting pro-Ortiz the same person trying to be funny? Seriously who can ever contemplate such an impossible situation like this: Floyd frustrated in the ring with Ortiz and headbutting....LMAO
THAT would never happen in the first place, and if it even came close to happening Mayweather has the cool and right mindset to push through it.
Haters of the true P4P go rewatch Floyd vs DLH AGAIN because that's the ONLY time Floyd's victory has ever been questioned. Unless you are a Pactard then for some reason some of you claim Castillo got the better of him lol
42-0 something Manny could never do
No, you're not even reading what he posted. He said if Ortiz had been the one who knocked out a head-butting Floyd Mayweather, the Floyd Haters would be saying "He should've protected himself!!! Fair KO!! ORTIZ P4P!!!!!"
Don't get it twisted bro, keep it real
Thank you, I was gonna reply, but figured he made himself look dumb enough as it is by posting that dumb sh!t.
Regardless if it would have been Ortiz or Mayweather landing those shots leading to a KO it was FAIR. Period.

Don't you see that even if that's true, then that makes the reverse of the argument true also? What you said was "yeah, mayweather fans are biased nuthuggers for defending him, but you guys would be biased nuthuggers too if it was your fighter doing the cheat shot"
Now, if your argument is "mayweather fans are unbiased" then you would be arguing that "Ortiz fans would also be unbiased" in the reverse situation...which I doubt because you are criticizing Ortiz fans...
You just called yourself biased.

Listen...
Mayweather's ability to fight was in NO WAY compromised by the actions of Ortiz.
If he had been dazed by the headbutt or even got cut then I'd honestly support what Floyd did 100% because the playing field is no longer level.
But neither of the above happened so his reaction was unjustified and unnecessary.
He took what could have been an amazing fight away from the fans.
You know, the people who gave him $25,000,000+ last night.
Them.
he was cut in two places, on the left side of his inner lip (huge cut), and on the outside of his lip in the center.
Hopefully he will but still man to me Floyd engaging in Victors apology whatever hug thing then catching him off guard too me personally is a sneaky shot but Vic had his own moments off madness too but anyway your a good poster and your being unbiased in your post unlike a lot of threads ive being reading today
Thanks man, and I agree those punches weren't necessary, but it's very hard to sympathize for Ortiz who kept rushing with his head then blatantly jumped and cracked him like a ram!..and you're a very solid poster around here, keep it up and try to weed out the biased nuthuggers.
