Will a Questionable Joe Cortez Call or Ruling affect the result of May/Ortiz? Poll!

Simply put, will something Cortez does cause the boxing public to grimace or call into question the winner of this fight? Possibly Cortez' handling of clinches, elbows/forearms or any number of different factors.. In almost every fight I've seen him referee, Cortez has been over involved. He says firm but fair, but I find him to be a little too firm(no pun intended!) Questionable decision by the powers that be to assign him this job. It will be a real tragedy if another event falls short. Poll to follow, please discuss!

cortez is the only hall of famer on the card. i'm buying it for him mostly. i am one of the biggest floyd fans on this site and have been for years, but this guy is easily one of the most clever posters on this site.

Arthur Mercante Jr or Lawrence Cole would of been good choices. They actually let the boxers fight. Cole Actually slaps the arm away if a guy is holding instead of going in their and breaking things up.

Guys, what are you talking about, people paying $60 and coming ringside to see Joe Cortez, the fight is just the extra bonus. Everyone that is watching is there because they want to see the man, the legend himself, Joe Cortez. I dont even know who's fighting, but Cortez is the Main Event. He should just DQ both fighters and sing us a few songs and have a few dance moves to show us. that's to funny.....

I belive that the result will be that Floyd will win reguardless of who the third man in the ring is. I'm not a Cortez fan. He may end up breaking them apart alot/early and take away from Ortiz' inside game. I think that Ortiz has to try and bully Floyd and Cortez won't allow it. Similar to the Hatton fight. I'll be rooting for Ortiz

Mayweather does use his elbows, just about as sneaky as Hopkins and his tactics. Veteran moves though, hopefully it doesn't cause a swing in the outcome.

Watch Cortez repeatedly warn and take a point away from Ortiz for using his head, but ignore floyd using his elbows and forearms. Ill be laughin at Ortiz's bum ass if that happens :laugh: I think Danny Garcia is going to make a point to remind Cortez about Floyd's elbows on HBO cameras. Right when Cortez pops through to explain rules for the bout. Will it be enough? I don't know.. I also am not convinced if the elbows will make much difference, but I'd prefer they not factor in.

If Ortiz is having his way, you can bet your sweet ass that Cortez will get in there and try to impede his progress. Look at Khan/Maidana ffs. Cortez sucks. Even when he doesn't seem to have an agenda.
