MAYWEATHER VERSUS ORTIZ DISAPPOINTS IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

By Don Donatello
Your wallet is $70 dollars lighter, you were bored, Ortiz did not win, and your hopes were not met. How disappointing is that? Your only solace is that Victor Ortiz tried very hard with a dancing partner that refused to dance.
Victor Ortiz is going to give a very valiant and good account of himself this Saturday night. And he will give Floyd Mayweather a good struggle. But come on, folks, he is not going to win. Some are even saying that he will win by a KO. It’s not going to happen. A KO is the only way Victor Ortiz is going to win; and he will not get any kind of decision win. Ortiz did not KO Andre Berto, but he will KO Mayweather? ALL close rounds will be scored for Floyd Mayweather. For Ortiz to win a round he will have to really dominate Floyd. What is the likelihood of that?
With so many people now writing that the young and green Victor Ortiz will win, it tells me something. It tells me that HBO’s super duper hype machine program, 24/7, has once again did a good job. It even convinced people that the much smaller Juan Manuel Marquez had a chance at beating Floyd Mayweather.
With hundreds of millions of dollars in the balance for the Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao fight, the boxing gods are going to ensure that everyone involved have been in the system for a very long time. Boxing is a business first, and second as a sport.
In the video below I provide proof why Victor will not win. Take a look how ineffective Victor is in rounds 1-2 when Lamont Peterson runs and move.
Folks, this is a preview of the Mayweather versus Ortiz fight. It will be 12 rounds that are very similar of the first two rounds in the Ortiz/Peterson fight. And that is what you are going to get for $70 dollars.
Don’t you think that Floyd surfed the Internet to watch some of Ortiz’s fights? I guarantee that Mayweather saw the video above.
Like I said, Victor Ortiz will give a good effort, but he is not going to catch the best runner in boxing. Olympic sprinter and gold medal winner Usain Bolt from Jamaica will be impress with Mayweathers running. Ortiz will do much better at getting close to Mayweather in the later rounds, but Mayweather will still have enough to withstand the rush.
Ortiz will have 1% of winning the close rounds. If he threw 100 punches in a single round, he would have to knock Mayweather down with one punch to win that round. Like I said before, ALL close rounds will be scored for Floyd Mayweather Jr.
As long as the biggest money making fight in history remains in the balance, the boxing gods will give every benefit to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd knows that, why do you think he kept Manny Pacquiao’s name as part of his training camp. Floyd is going to fight Manny Pacquiao, he is just waiting for the right moment. While Pacquiao is grinding his body down by fighting bigger guys, Floyd has been resting and preserving his body. When Floyd sees the wear and tear starts to takes its’ toll on Manny, Floyd will come calling.
Ortiz will have to become the Terminator and do Manny Pacquiao a big favor. If Ortiz can put and sustain constant pressure on Mayweather, he can sap some of the resources that Mayweather has been preserving. But it still does not translate to a win for the young and inexperience Victor Ortiz.
I would love to be wrong about this fight, I wish Victor Ortiz would smash my prediction to my face. But Mayweather is only 34 years old. We have Bernard Hopkins fighting at a high championship level who is close to 50 years in age.
There are two fighters that can beat Mayweather Jr., and he will not be fighting them. Floyd fears the knowledge of one man, Freddie Roach. The one-armed, one-legged Oscar De La Hoya almost beat Mayweather under Roach’s training. Think what would happen if Roach’s students Manny Pacquiao or Amir Khan fought Mayweather Jr.
Once again, I will not be paying to watch a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. And I will again be very happy in my decision, again.

People will still watch the fight.
how about waiting til AFTER the fight before making this type of article?
the writing is on the wall as far as this being a lopsided win for Floyd but hey, how about giving the fight a chance at least?
this fight fan isn't griping about the lost $70 yet...lookin forward to seeing how Saturday unfolds
Great post and I agree.

Excellent post Mak. :afro:
is this actually from a professional writer? I have never read such biased non factual bull**** in my life. Well from a so called professional writer that is. I read this type of biased bull**** on the site from just regular people fans of one guy non fans of another. i expect that. but wow they are really allowing this guy to write about boxing? like seriously mayweather runner? out of 41 fights id like anyone to post at least 5 fights where floyd did this so called running for the majority of the fight. and if they dont know the difference between boxing and running then writing about boxing is not for them. running is oscar delahoya in final 4 rounds vs trinidad. thats running. not once have i whitnessed floyd do that. ive pretty much seen everyone of his fights.
That article was painful to read. A "runner"? It's called boxing you ****ing moron. Pac is fighting bigger guys? JMM is a 37 year old LIGHTWEIGHT you FCUKFACE

Cotto, Margarito, Mosley and Clottey weren't bigger?
Watching that video: Ortiz still makes one of the worst and most significant mistakes in boxing and I simply can't fathom how it has not been drummed out of him. He constantly squares up all the time in nearly every single exchange. It's hot he gets knocked down all the time. He has a great chin, but his footwork and thus balance is terrible. It's such an amateur mistake and it frustrates me no end. I just can't get over such a huge, blatant, obvious and easily fixable mistake being so prominent in his game.
He squares up when simply moving around and then when he throws he brings his left foot all the way up right next to his right foot while throwing punches from both hands....which then creates very little power and a huge easy target. Mayweather won't stop Ortiz but he might catch him off balance enough to score a flash KD or two.
Good post, something I've always noticed as well. From what I remember it's how Berto knocked down Ortiz twice.

I'm getting an HD stream for $3.50 but Floyd isn't going to burn my $65.00. I like boxing as much as the next guy but it is going to be a one-sided fight and I'll catch the replay on HD next week.
Give me 5-1 odds for my 50 mill says the fight is competitive.
I like to watch boxing so i'm gonna order the fight.

LMAO you have GOT to be ****ting me.

It's that Lady Fan **** writing a fake. Cracker is a douchebag. Seriously, the one thing I hate about Mayweather detractors is that whatever else you say about him, and you can say a lot of ****e about the cunt, you can't say he's a runner. When has he 'run' in any of his recent fights.
If Lady Fan can produce one single round of him running in any of his fights against Marquez, Mosley, Hatton etc, then I'll concede. Malignaggi runs sometimes. Floyd fights in the pocket and you are mistaking not getting hit for running. There is a world of difference between the two. One is not engaging, full stop, the other sits in the eye of the storm without getting hit.
Fascinating study though; trying to understand how someone with great bias sees exactly what they want to see in the face of indisputable fact that proves the contrary.
Edit: Also, the whole "Pac has been fighting bigger guys and taking hard fights thing" kind of gets thrown out the window because Pac has been doing nothing more than fighting the guys that Mayweather has just pounded. They both came up from 106 pounds, Mayweather as a 16 year old am, and Pac as a skinny young pro. They are both equal size, as evidenced by Pac being bigger than guys like Hatton in nearly every area. The only obviously bigger guy he's fought is drained, shot Oscar (who Floyd also fought) and a shot, drained Margarito (coming off a brutal KO loss).
I can't wait to hear what he has to say about Pacman-Marquez!:boxing:
LOL this is a lose lose for pac.. If he wins he cherry picking.. he if didnt fight JMM and fought someone else.. people would say he ducking..
I personally dont care about this fight..
I like to watch boxing so i'm gonna order the fight.
LOL werd me too. Already Order and going to have friends over... And who said Pac fan only watch Pac.... :boxing:
