If Floyd loses this weekend,
so will he lose some of his power and influence over the world of boxing (as far as OSDT testing is concerned).
What becomes of OSDT testing?
I dont see him losing so dont think they'll be any change of attitude towards his testing policy....but lets say hypothetically Floyd lost and suddenly changed his tune then to me Floyd loses all credibility along with it.
floyd pass up a lot of opportunities to really make osdt the next best thing to happen in boxing.. he goes at it the wrong way.. he's not in it to advocate it cause he believes in it.. it's just another tool in his disposal for his never ending pissing contest with pac.. if he really believe in it, he'd do everything i his power to show the world that it's the best thing for everybody.. he should never have alienated the boxing commission by calling their testing protocols as 'sh|t', instead he should have approach them and invite them to observe the protocols he wants to use in his fights.. how effective it is and what a boon it would be to the boxing community.. and he should have used his star power, which he won't let us forget for one second, and make sure that everyone on his fight card undergoes the same protocols.. put some stock on his propaganda of 'safety for everyone and levelling the playing field'.. but sadly he only mentions this thing when it conveniences him and when he would benefit for spouting off how clean he is cause he's using this testing protocol..
his lack in conviction is what makes people think that this thing is all for show.. such a waste..
i for one believe that osdt is needed in boxing.. but implement it across the board.. to everybody.. if you want to level the playing field, you can't just pick and select who you gonna test.. do it to everyone.. now that's a level playing field..
That's a good question. I suspect it goes to the back burner. But its seems like the latest thing in boxing is accusing guys that beat or might beat you of using PED's. so who knows.
it goes the way of the dinosaur. no sport will willingly submit itself to such expensive, revealing tests...half of all athletes are probably cheating and the guys runnin the sports know this. They only lose out to this. It's bad for them every way they look at it
