I really don't understand all these threads.
It doesn't do the favor for either fighter. People would, of course, have very different opinions on match-ups. Constructive discussion is welcomed but here all you can find is 'he would rape, he would murdered, tko6' and so on... And the way how the thread is opened it doesn't call for anything but plain stupidity.
Vitali is too tall and awkward and slow to deal with Tyson. Tyson beats both brothers, but I still insist they are good fighters. Their height and defense would keep them from going out early, IMO.
was watching prime Tyson vids and JESUSSSSSS was this guy a athletic beast
he would just dip low against big guys so they cudnt even reach himwith a jab or any punch and just spring up from a random angle and hit them with a brutal punch combo to the body and face sending shockwaves to their vital organs and brains and they would simply retreat..he was so damn fast, and powerful, have never seen anything like it
Vitalis face wud have looked a mess if he had survived 3-5 rounds...
Tyson woudk have an easy night, he is so tall and robotic, once on the inside it would be lights out..Tyson just use to dip real low against very tall guys, and den spring up like a frog and bam....Klit wud have a hard time coping with the speed
Tysons height wud be more of a problem for Klit than the other way around, they have no inside game and thats where they have a downfall..
Tyson beats Wlad NOT Big Vit imo....too much chin and size...Wlad plays Paul Williams at times and gives away his height when he bends his knees...plus his chin has proven to be shakey....Tyson clips Wlad but not Big Vit...again imo!!
Hard to call. Vitali might have folded like so many victims of Tyson. Tyrell biggs fought tyson and thinks hes better than LL who beat Vitali.
So you can make a good case for Tyson, but you can make a good case for Vitali as well.
I'll go with Vitali.
I was actually pondering this same question while watching tonight.
Not sure who would win but it would have been interesting because they both (in their primes) dominated era's with nobody very good to fight against.
One thing I do know is that Vitali is ****ing legit people! Get over your stupid hatred, the guy has incredible skills and doesn't beat guys on talent, HE SCHOOL'S THEM!
If this "prime" Mike couldn't put away bums like Mitch Green and James Tillis then I don't take seriously anybody who says he beats tonight's Vitali for one second. And later on, still pre jail, he was struggling against bums like Ruddock and was KTFO'd by feather fisted Douglas. He's not in Vitali's class at any point.
What was I implying? My comment that you replied with a :bottle:
is what I'm implying.
And the other thing that I'm implying is just what I said. No data of a prime Tyson, beating anything close to a Lewis, not even a 35 year old Lewis, yet alone a younger version of Lennox.
All we got to go on is a "prime" Tyson building his record against Journeymen, before his title shot. And after that, it's a old, coming of losses, Larry Holmes. And his best victory, over a prime Michael Spinks in less than a round, which I give him credit for.
Do any of those wins tell us anything about his ability to handle 6'5, 6'6, 6'7 guys with very good boxing ability. Lennox-esque? Vitali-esque?
We've got more data on Vitali, and what he can do, at his prime (Vs a older Lennox, you can discredit it if you want, but he showed his toughness). We've got data on Vitali coming off a 4 years layoff. And we've got data on what a 40 year old Vitali can do.
All we've got on Tyson is his mid 80's performances, everything after that was downhill, and fans operating on wishful thinking than any real analysis.
sorry about the bottles
but the most important thing for rating a fighter and judging an fantasy match up is
style, skill and then physical atributes if the others are equal....
data and stats dont mean as much as the other things IMO
but u were dissing tyson and u sounded cynical in ur post thats why i gave it to u
i appologise for that tho cause i didnt warrant it
Vitali would have just completely dominated Tyson in every way he has at least as much power, is overwhelmingly stronger and has a far better chin. Vitali would keep Tyson on the end of that ramrod jab and after landing a few of them booming right hands a discouraged Iron Mike would be looking for a way out. Only way Tyson could win if he walk through Vitali to get into punching range and if he tried that he would get destroyed in quick time. After seeing Vitali absorb that monster uppercut from Lewis that nearly knocked his head off his shoulders, i doubt Tyson could even really hurt Vitali if he did get inside.
