Yes he would and I don't see Vitali being very problematic for Joe. He gets outworked and eventually KO'd when he is winded and Joe is ready for another 10 rounds.
He gets "outworked an winded"....Don't make me laugh. How would you outwork a 6'8" guy who can routinely throw 100 punches a round for 12 rounds. Although only 3 of his fights have gone the full 12. And how would you get him winded? You shouldn't allow Klitschko's "open mouth" to fool you, as it did everybody all those years ago. I thought that thought was given up. Klitschko has HABIT of fighting with an open mouth from the beginning. And in NOT ONE fight has he been winded.
I do believe that he is capable even at this age of fighting 20rounds.
Yes he would, his peekaboo & body work handles the entire roster. If you haven't noticed the majority of heavyweights today head hunt. If your 4 to 5 inches shorter than a Klitcho, you have to attack the body. Heavyweights nowadays don't do that.
That's silly talk. We could assume that any opponent would KNOW that Frazier bobbed his head and upper body around, and would concentrate his sparring for 10 weeks strictly on the body. And he was able to be hit with an uppercut. Present day trainers aren't stupid.
Frazier would last about 4-6 rounds max.
As much as I love Smokin Joe I dont think he could handle the jab of Vitali. I think he was a great champion and a beast in the ring but put in against a guy with a mean jab (ali, foreman, vitali) I dont think he'd make it through to do what he is great at doing and thats head/body, head/body attacks. I really dislike the Heavies of today and think Vitali is a crap champ (not so much as his brother but still crap) The only thing he has going for him is an incredible jab that is known to keep people away from his insides.
I think Frazier would maybe win 1 out of 3 as he did against Ali but he'd be kept at bay by the jab. Lastly I think Frazier would beat any other heavy out there in todays division no problem. He had stamina, a great chin, Heart and when able to get inside an attack that you dont see in todays fight game.
joes chances against wlad IMO are 70/30 that he wins
joes chances against vitali IMO are 50/50
vitali isnt a good in fighter and he wouldnt like them lefts to the body
I think it's a 50/50 fight but I would pick Joe because he has faced MUCH better competition.
Agreed. The Klitschko's are winning so effortlessly these days and are looking so dominate for simple fact that they heavily lack quality opposition. Not to say they aren't good, but there is not any impressive talents out there that are eye catching. Even when Sanders was around, he was able to rock Vitali and KO Wlad, so to say either of them just blows out smoking Joe has to be doing just that, smoking something.
I have no reason to believe that Frazier could compete with the Klitschkos. I love Joe, and he showed heart in his fights against Foreman, but the results would be the same against the two brothers.
No, he is very unimpressive. Really someone tell me what is so good about him? He is elevated so high because he beat Ali that one time out of 3.
Please tell me you're using sarcasm.
No,he wouldn't.Even if somebody managed to drag this glass jawed, cherry picking opportunist into the ring with a puncher like Wladimir or Vitali, his fragile chin would cost him almost every single time barring some freak result.
Both Klitschko's are far too good at controlling distance for somebody as limited and unexceptional as Joe Frazier to close distance and work effectively at close quarters for a sustained period.
lmfao..there is some hilarious post on here today

LMAO....well done.
He is to small to beat the Klitschkos.
Against Ali he could get past the jab, he can also do this with Wlad but Wlad punches extremely hard when he wants to, and you saw what happened to Frazier vs Foreman. He has a good chin but he can be taken out.
Against Vitali i just think he would be outlanded and outclassed by the much bigger and stronger Vitali.
Sorry, but he is just to small.
I think it's a 50/50 fight but I would pick Joe because he has faced MUCH better competition.
against the current version of vitali he'd have a decent chance of beating him but i think a prime vitali (2003) would be too much for him
unified,maybe..un disputed no.Vital would handle him imo
You're kidding yourself Larry, Joe was on another level from anybody in the heavyweight division today.

The only current HW who gives Joe fits is Vitali Klitschko imo. Joe handles every other HW imo.
