jus listening to leave it in the ring boxing show and apparently floyd is having trouble shifting tickets for his up and coming fight
his biggest fights and paydays came against big draws like De La Hoya and Hatton
is floyd not as big a draw as he thinks?
he does great ppv numbers but as for his attendances there not as good as Pacquiaos obviously is he finally paying the price for not being a draw early in his career?
Two things are funny about Paquiao fans
1. The overwhelming level of hate
2. The fact they are paying more attention to this fight than Pac vs. JMM
Most of them are disappointed in the match up but CANT speak on it.
Story is BS!
Trouble Selling Tickets? or Maybe 3rd Party Sellers who bought up all the damn tickets are having problems moving them because they are overpriced
I would rather go watch in a Theater in front of a HUGE SCREEN for $25 then to overpay for Tickets
LOL they always say the same thing and everytime the arena is packed on fight night.
Some ppl mad Mosley Pac fight flopped so bad they couldnt release the numbers
Of course it's struggling to sell. Ortiz is a nobody.
If Pacquiao fought Ortiz it'd be the same result. The only difference is Mayweather's gate would be bigger because he charges more for tickets.
A change of venue would've done wonders for this fight. What some people don't realize is that Floyd's drawing power comes from taking on guys the public views as threats to his 0. He is not DLH or Tyson and people aren't tuning in to see him knock out tomato cans in the 1st round or buying his fights because he has crossover/pop appeal like those guys. If the public thinks there's a chance that the loud-mouthed, brash, unlikable Floyd will get KTFO on international tv, they'll go in droves to see that. Ortiz is not seen as anything but a glorified sparring partner. He's as high as a 12-1 underdog in some sports books.
If Manny had fought Clottey at Vegas as usual, the gate would've been horrendous. But the change of venue, the appeal of boxing being showcased in a new state-of-the-art monster arena helped make a fight against a complete nobody with no real promotions a legitimate box office success.
Mayweather-Ortiz in Dallas (they discussed this at first), or the Giants/Jets new stadium, or Dodgers Stadium, etc would've gotten people's attention if for no other reason that it was something new. But it's just the same old Vegas thing with a guy who on his best day could only be a fighter of Floyd's caliber's sparring partner. Maybe other states need to revamp their lidocaine laws :lol1:
We'll see if the desperation move of pandering to Mexican fans with the split-site Canelo sparring match and Morales on the card will help boost the lackluster and uninteresting main event. So far I haven't seen any real buzz and it looks like ticket sales are poor.
exactly my thoughts. some fans actually think floyd is some tyson or ali when it comes to box office appeal. even floyd thinks so.
you write elegantly, Mr Prince.

I don't understand why Pacquiao is so adamantly AGAINST proving he is 100% clean.
Pac has agreed to testing. why do people still keep spouting this lie?
I paid to see one fight and was disappointed
The best fights seem to be free...just how it is.
Sarcasm.....?
It isn't a sarcasm it was joke fight, floyd pick maidanas leftover.
I don't understand why Pacquiao is so adamantly AGAINST proving he is 100% clean.
I mean the only people on this planet that have no suspicion of Pacquiao's steroid abuse are his most die-hard Filipino fans. Those are the only people.
Just prove it Manny. Save the sport while you're at it. That's not asking for too much right? Surely not if it can save the sport?
Oh whatever, Floyd's a terrible human being too, so what am I really arguing here?
Weare dealing with two divas. Manny Fu cked up with all the different excuses. Had he come out and just said sorry Floyd u don't call th shots the commish does and stuck to it I wOuld have thought oh Floyd u are a *****. But since manny cameout with at least four different excuses now I think Floyd is a ***** but manny is highly suspect to me. If manny tests and comes out clean then he can shut me and alot of people up including the mayweathers.
In all honesty my friend, if Pac accepted random blood tests and Floyd didn't immediately sign to fight, then I'm fine with Floyd getting exiled to another country for all I care.
I am just saying that as a sports fan, I find a demand for random drug testing to be plausible. That's all I'm saying man, I just don't think it's some extreme measure.
But again, just my opinion.
Asking for better testingjustifies Floyd as a ducker but manny fighting at catch weights and for fake belts is making him an atg? Ha
and what does this guy describe himself?
a floyd's d!ckrider himself
dont even justify urself, coz i can see floyds cam all over ur face
calling everyone who dont want to buy this sh!t cherrypicked fight a pactard
a boxing fan knows a sh!tty fight when he hear one, but a d!ckrider such as urself will suc on it :)
This is a very good fight against a young, fast, power punching opponent. When was the last time PAC fought someone with all three?
It's ok I'll wait..... Crickets....
No, I'd stream that too.....furthermore, Bradley isn't a PPV view fighter so that won't be an issue. I will pay for the Pac fight though because there is a proven history there and the fight will mean something to both guys. Mayweather will retire after this fight, he already hinted that this is what he intends to do....I'm not supporting his hiatus, you can if you want.
Mayweather can't retire for good without fighting Pacquiao.
Ortiz is a tune up for that fight.
If Pacquiao agrees in writing that he will take random USADA style testing and Mayweather retires, then Mayweather would go down in history as the biggest ducker ever.
If Pacquiao doesn't agree in writing to all of Floyds testing demands, Then Pacquiao will go down in history as a cheater in many peoples eyes.
Neither can retire without fighting eachother and they know it no matter what they say.
At the end of the day the fight will sell and generate more money than pacs fights and the MGM won't be sold out they will fall shortby a few hundred and all PAC fans will be able to say is mayweather couldn't even sell out" not realizing that he made more money than PAC.
Hatred gonna hate.
But you'd pay $60 to see Tim Bradley fight. You are the definition of a fan...boy.

The fight will do a big gate again.
Floyds tickets are way more expensive than other fights.
If it only sells 12,000 tickets the gate will still be 5-7 million easy which is crazy for a live gate.
The fight is already a big success.
PPV will also be crazy.
The fight will generate 50-75 million and that my friend is a guarantee.
600.00 dollars a ticket, lmao.....you can keep that brah
