I don't fault Mayweather fighting Victor Ortiz after Floyd's been inactive for 16 months, especially considering Victor is currently the #2 ranked WW behind Pac. But it got me thinking how much worse the WW division is today than it was just 4 years ago. Then you had better than todays' versions of Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, Zab Judah, Luis Collazo, Carlos Quintana, Joshua Clottey, Carlos Baldomir, Ricky Hatton and I feel like I'm forgetting someone. Hard to see Ortiz, 9 months off of a draw with fringe contender Lamont Peterson and just over 2 years from quitting against Marcos Maidana, both at 140 making it to the top of the 2007 crowd, at least for me..
Some are pushing 40 and some have moved up in weight.

Doubtful he beats Williams, Cotto or even Cintron at 154 and highly doubtful he beats Floyd now.
Fair enough, which would put him at 6th, but the rest of the guys are by no means slam dunks for him.
Williams is the exception.... at 147 right now him and Cotto battle, Cintron loses, Margarito folds, Shane would quit, Collazo out within 8, Quintana out cold within 8..... Y 154 his a WW big or not he aint going to 154 anytime soon.
yes. we all know that mayweather ducked the ww division at it's best and only came out of retirement when he saw an easy win.
Well Floyd fought three of those guys and a still relevant DLH who had a title at 154, before taking a break over 9 years after winning his first title, so I'm not sure your statement has any merit.
shut the **** up where are those guys now
Some are pushing 40 and some have moved up in weight.
, which of them has a legit WW belt now

... 2007 was 4 yrs ago... ORTIZ BEATS THEM ALL RIGHT NOW!!

theres nothing wrong with this. its true. but i think he beats everyone but p will, shane, margarito, cotto, and may.
