He just fought a few weeks ago so he should be in pretty good shape. No one wants to take a fight on real short notice like this but when the reward is worth the risk it can make sense, while thats not the case for Bradley it might be the case for Peterson. A win over Maidana after his win over Cayo would be a big step forward. and if he loses, well he took on a guy in the top 5 at 140 who puts on ridiculous pressure on 1 weeks notice, it wont kill his career, especially if he puts up a tough fight
thoughts?
get juan urango to take some time off from his pig farming and get a nice little payday
always wanted to see that fight, I think that would be an exciting fight

A guy who retired isn't going to come back to the sport on one week's notice.
They should pull an ESPN fighter for this type of fights especially with a week's notice. The fight is on Aug. 27 but a freaking Championship belt is on the line.
No big names are going to step up on 1 weeks notice,
Why cant people get that thru their heads??
At best they would have gotten a journeyman, an ESPN level fighter and nobody wants to see maidana fight one of those in the main even
exactly. no1 within reach of a belt is gonna jeopardize their career for a fight with maidana with 2 wks notice. thats for the tomato cans. it wont happen, it doesnt need to happen.

no, i don't see any big names stepping in on short notice, it'd be great if one would. of course major props as well. is the card being cancelled or not?
