jcc is a plodder. sorry guys. he isn't even as long as Margo.
Pac would pitch a shutout. this is a horrible match-up. Pac would matador JCC and keep him turning like a top while bilzerig that face.
jcc is better at cutting off the ring than pacquiao is.
pacquiao has fast footwork but he doesn't really use it as good as he could , especially on the defense.
No one has really been able to test Manny's durability because they either take the boxer approach, or get shocked into submission.
Chavez would be able to put some real punishment on Pac, and I think Pac would fold.
i don't know about that.
manny has been in a bunch of tough fights.
don't really know how you come to that conclusion unless you've only seen pac fights of recent years.
chavez would probably challenge pac's durability more than he's ever been. i wouldn't say pacquiao's durability hasn't been challenged though.
Manny has more ways to win. Chavez has to get inside, and then work, and then be effective all while his face and chin have to hold up against a guy great at fighting guys being aggressive. Feels like a match Chavez rarely wins.
I've seen a couple of Chavez fights . He has to chin to get inside and just keep firing to the body. Pacquiao is fast, but easy to hit. It'll be a great fight.
here's a vid i found about Ruben Castillo( said to be trained by durans late coach) on fighting Chavez
Now this I gotta hear.....What in the hell makes you say anything like that? What similarities do Camacho and Pac have? Why does it matter if Chavez couldn't KO Camacho? What makes you look at their respective careers and use Camacho, of all people, as someone to compare with Pac as a reason that Chavez wouldn't knock him out?
You do realise that Camacho was never knocked out in a career that spanned three different decades, so far, and went from Jr lightweight to Super Middleweight? He fought fighters that, quite frankly, make both Pac's and Chavez's career look weak in comparison and was never knocked out.
From Rosario (one of the hardest P4P punchers of all time), to Tito (another of the hardest punchers of all time).....never knocked out. Pac's been knocked out, hurt and dropped a lot more and worse than Camacho ever was.
Edwin Rosario
Roberto Duran
Felix Trinidad
Oscar Dela Hoya (prime)
Sugar Ray Leonard
Julio Cesar Chavez
Vinny Paz
Jose Luis Ramirez
Ray Mancini
Boza Edwards
etc
etc
Hell, he even has Freddie Roach in his resume!:lol1: Anyway, the point being that your comment is quite simply ignorant and stupid. Of all the comparisons to make, that is one of the worst. You don't use a guy that has shown himself to be near impossible to knock out, against some of the greatest knockout artists in history, in their primes, as a comparison to a guy who, while showing a good chin in general, has shown himself to be vulnerable and has been knocked out numerous times.
:pat:
Whatever else you can say about Camacho, and you can say a lot, he was, quite simply, one of the toughest, hardest, most impossible fighters to KO there has ever been. Chavez did better than most at getting very close to it, and that says a lot.
Green K sent
pac would beat him prob break his orbital bone with a perfect left upper
chavez didnt ko camacho i highly doubt he'll ko pac
pac ud
.....................Really? how many orbital bones has Pacquiao broken?
are you referring to Margarito's? wasn't it already injured before the fight?
have you seen how Chavez fights? he's not a slow mindless skill less brawler like Margarito.
Chavez actually moves his head LOL
Margarito =/= Chavez in anyway shape or form
pac would beat him prob break his orbital bone with a perfect left upper
chavez didnt ko camacho i highly doubt he'll ko pac
pac ud

I'd favor Chavez by TKO or KO
He would definitely have trouble with Pacquiaos speed and power combined with his in and out style
But I think Chavez's relentless body attack would eventually wear Pacquiao down.
I wouldn't be surprised If Pacquiao took a stoppage via cuts or just edged him on points
toss up fight for me.
a few years ago , i'd have said chavez for sure but with how pac has been looking at 147......
50/50 fight.
i see pacquiao winning by decision or maybe tko win by way of cuts.
i don't see pacquiao knocking out chavez. maybe knock him down. maybe. but definitely won't ko chavez.
chavez i see winning by ko or tko by wearing him down to the body and maybe scoring a tko win by battering pacquiao on the ropes or even dropping him with a liver shot.
no matter who wins...... chavez face is gonna be a mess and pacquiao will be peeing blood after the fight.
Would be one hell of a fight. I'd love to see it.
I think Chavez would have problems with Pacquaio's speed. Then again, Pac would have problems with Chavez skillful pressure and if he gets inside Pac would have some problems.
I agree with LeftHookTua, this is a toss up for me.
I don't see Pac stopping Chavez, Chavez chin is too good. One of the best chins I've ever witnessed. And I don't think it will be one of those where he takes an almight beating and the refs pulls him out. I.e if Chavez were to fight Duran.
I think it goes to a descision in an epic fight. Possibly a trilogy.
Agree completely with both. Very close fight. I think with Chavez at his very best, I'd have to take him. I think that type of offensive fighter, ie. one who uses counter punches and subtle defense to slip and get inside and work the body very well with a super strong chin, good speed etc, would give Pac major problems.
Saying that, Pac's speed would give Chavez trouble too. But it's very different speed than someone like Taylor's. Pac is more than happy to trade and takes as many punches as he lands and against someone like Chavez, that spells big trouble. I have a feeling that Chavez would wear Pac's body down and start hurting him badly late in the fight.
Chavez had boxing skills that would equal someone like Morales in my opinion. He just used them inside more than outside. But, it's the same principle in that he had the right tools to wear Pac's offensive onslaught and come back with great, hard counters that would land and get him inside where he would work the body.
It's a hard one to say. I would go with Chavez in a super close one ATM, but would most certainly not disagree with anyone saying Pac would take it too.
Trilogy maybe...
I can't believe this...PAC is actually winning a fantasy fight LOL. Chavez by murder...PAC never win fantasy fight. Now Floyd would kill Chavez though.
I never saw a live JCC fight so take my guess with a grain of salt, but I'd go with Pacquiao... Merely on the grounds that I assume he has the stylistic advantage, again, taking into mind, I don't really know what JCC was capable of
i think the volume, speed and power of pacquiao would be too much for chavez. the only thing pac would need to watch out for is avoiding chavez's body punching.
I have complete confidence that Pacquiao would take a hard fought, very fun to watch decision in which his physical gifts would just be too much for Chavez.
No one has really been able to test Manny's durability because they either take the boxer approach, or get shocked into submission.
Chavez would be able to put some real punishment on Pac, and I think Pac would fold.
