It's understandable that people can't necessarily afford a cable bill in excess of $150 just to have Showtime and HBO for the purpose of watching the big fights; however, when it comes to PPV's you are interested in seeing, it does the sport a disservice to stream the fights for free. There are about 4 PPV's a year, which amounts to about $240. If you aren't capable of splitting that two or three ways among friends over the span of a year, what are you doing on this forum? Your time would be better spent searching for food...
That being said, if you don't like the matches, don't pay for them. Promoters don't deserve to get paid for crappy fights. Let's vote with our dollars people.
The thread you made yesterday was pretty good, this one is bad IMO. Not all of us live in places where you can buy PPVs, and also not all of us have the financial capacity to buy them.
Almost all the other sports are free on TV why should boxing be different? My father grew up in an era where the biggest fights were on cable live.
this is true...you used to be able to go to the boston garden and watch all of the big fights for free on a huge screen...

What are you, the Pay Per View Police?
I'm just lucky I haven't brought the last 3 Manny Pacquiao PPV's, they were TERRIBLE...
I had friends saying, lets order "Pacquiao vs Margarito" or Pac vs Mosley and I was like HELL NO, and I was right, those fights should have been on NBC.
All I want is for Pac to fight a prime fighter, he could fight Bradley and even though I think Pacquiao would win, I would still order it on PPV.
I only buy the fights that I think are worth buying. Cuz hbo & show time I pay for already & I absolutely hate when they try to charge ppv for a BS card. Like for example I never buy rjj fights, but I did get all the Morales comeback fights, but the May VS Ortiz card looks extremely good IMO. Unfortunately for me none of my friends are boxing fans=-( so every card I end up paying for. No biggie thou I enjoy em more beer for me lol.
I only buy fights when they're worth buying.
Huge events or deep cards.
Everything else gets streamed.
That's the spirit of the thread. It's not a moral concept as much as a "vote with your dollars" concept. We want promoters to put on good fights, so we have to reward them when they succeed and punish them when they fail--streaming is fine in that case.
It's when people get excited about a fight and then refuse to pay for it. I go to a local bar and pay $10 half the time. If I'm not doing that, I'm going in with a few other people and splitting the cost at home.

They can't attract enough advertising revenue dude, otherwise, I'm sure they would. Last time I checked, boxing wasn't a mainstream sport.
have u ever downloaded music of an artist u like? yes. end thread.
Actually, if you would like to see my itunes and Amazon receipts I'd be more than happy to show them to you--I buy music I like.
I live in Europe so I cant watch most op the USA ppv fights. If I could I would pay to watch it on HD instead of a crappy stream
This is understandable if there is nothing you can do about it.
As a fan if a fight is worth buying for you and you have the means to do it then you should. The thing I don't understand is people complaining about fights then buying them on PPV. That makes no sense and it's part of the problem.
This is exactly what I'm saying.
